10 15 20 25 30 35 7908575-9 2 Förfarandet enligt uppfinningen eliminerar också nödvän- digheten av att torka de framställda arken, varigenom kostnaderna reduceras och produktionshastigheten ökar.
Uppfinningen skall i det följande närmare beskri- vas under hänvisning till bifogade ritning, som visar ett utföringsexempel. Fig 1 visar schematiskt från si- dan en apparat enligt föreliggande uppfinning. Fig 2 vi- sar apparaten i tvärsektion och fig 3 åskådliggör i tvärsektion en resulterande laminerad produkt.
På ritningen visas en ugn, som användes för sam- tidig upphettning av två eller flera ark 2 av expande- rat termoplastmaterial, vilka skall förbindas med varandra, en kalibrerings- och avkylningsstation 3 för arken efter förbindning med varandra samt en station 4 för efterföljande tryckning och skärning av produkten till skivor.
Ugnen l består av en kammare 5, i vilken bär- och transportorgan för varje ark är monterade, varvid trans- portorganen tillåter kontinuerlig förskjutning av varje enskilt ark 2 genom ugnen. Dessa transportorgan kan, så- som visas, ha formen av rullar 6, vilka bildar banor för arken. Alternativt kan transportorganen ha formen av ändlösa band eller kedjor eller utgöras av andra lämpliga anordningar, som kan transportera ark 2 in- dividuellt och separat. s Bär- och transportorganen 6 är inriktade med mot- svarande inloppsöppningar 7 i ugnens l ena vägg. Arken 2 sprutas och torkas och lindas därpå på rullar R. Arken drages från rullarna R och inkommer i ugnen genom öpp- ningarna 7. Såsom framgår av ritningen är dessa öpp- ningar 7 utformade i en av ugnens 1 ändväggar. 7 Det skall emellertid noteras att arken av expanderat material kan matas antingen horisontellt eller vertikalt utan ofördelaktig påverkan därav. För upphettning av arken av sprutat, expanderat material 2 då de passerar ugnen l är upphettningsorgan 10, såsom elektriska värmeelement, placerade mellan bär- och transportorganen 6 för arken 2, vilka värmeelement håller ugnskammaren vid en förutbestämd temperatur, för att sålunda åstadkomma en förutbestämd expansion av varje enskilt ark. Det inses, att expansionen av arken medför en reducering av deras densitet.
I området intill ugnens l utlopp 8, där arken 2' konvergerar mot paret av styrrullar 9 är ytterligare värmeelement ll anordnade för upphettning av de motsatta_ ytpartierna hos intillvarandra belägna ark till deras smälttemperatur. Genom dylik smältning bringas intill varandra belägna ark att vidhäfta varandra eller hop- smälta, då de passerar mellan rullarna 9. Detta sker oberoende av om arkens ytor är släta eller utsatts för en föregående, mekanisk förbehandling.
Under sin passage genom ugnen 1 kan arken 2 be- handlas vid varje lämplig, önskad temperatur under en förutbestämd tidsperiod. Under sådan behandling kan de expanderas ytterligare, varigenom en reducering av ar- kens densitet till ett önskat värde möjliggöres. Efter den ytterligare expansionen utsättes de för hopfästning avsedda ytorna för verkan av värmeelementen ll, så att åtminstone deras ytområden upphettas till sin smälttem- peratur. Arken hopsvetsas sålunda då de passerar mellan styrrullarna 9 och bildar ett enda laminat 20 med ett antal skikt, motsvarande antalet använda ark, varvid lami- natets tjocklek är lika med summan av de använda arkens tjocklek och laminatets densitet är beroende av de an- vända arkens densitet. 10 15 20 25 30 35 7908575-9 4 _Beroende på naturen av termoplastmaterialet, av vilket arken är framställda, kan temperaturen i ugnen variera mellan l00°C och 200°C och den hastighet, varmed arken transporteras genom ugnen, kan vara mellan 4 och 15 m. Genom användning av dessa parametrar är det möj- ligt att åstadkomma en densitetsreducering från 60-70 gr/l i utgångsarken till 22 gr/1 i den färdiga produkten.
Sättet och apparaten enligt uppfinningen tillåter sålunda en avsevärd ökning av utgångsarkets volym utan att några större tekniska svårigheter uppstår.
Det sålunda framställda laminatet transporteras sedan till och genom en kalibrerings- och kylningssta- tion 3, i vilken den färdiga produktens fysikaliska egenskaper fixeras. Denna station 3 innefattar såsom framgår av fig 2 två satser justerbara rullar 12, som är vända mot varandra för att däremellan bilda en styr- bana längs vilken laminatet 20 måste passera. Under denna passage mellan rullarna kyles laminatet medelst exempelvis luft, som inkommer genom öppningar 13, vilka är anordnade ovanför och under rullarna 12, och medelst vatten. I Efter kylning är produkten färdig för att utsättas för efterföljande tryckning och skärning till önskad storlek. Detta sker i stationen 4.
Under användning av ovan beskrivna förfarande är det möjligt att forma skivor av varje sprutat, expande- rat termoplastmaterial, varvid arken, varav skivan är framställd, kan innefatta önskade tillsatser som mot brand motståndskraftiga material och färgmedel. Om ar- ken är framställda av fibröst material kan fibrerna vara orienterade eller godtyckligt fördelade.
Under förfarandet är det också möjligt att på den färdiga produktens ena eller båda ytor applicera plast- laminat eller vanligt eller bituminöst papper för att hos den färdiga produkten åstadkomma önskad struktur och önskade egenskaper. 7908575-9 5 Enligt uppfinningen kan sålunda på ett enkelt och billigt sätt åstadkommas en laminerad produkt, som har önskad densitet, värmeisoleringsförmåga, mekanisk håll- fasthet, låg fuktabsorbering, avsevärt motstånd mot diffusion av vattenånga därigenom och dimensionsstabi- litet, som är ekvivalent med liknande produkters, vil- ka erhållits direkt genom sprutning av en konstruktion med ett skikt.
