Description

Claims (17)
- 熱可塑性材料内にガスを注入する方法であって、
ガス透過性材料と交互配置された熱可塑性材料のロールを、該ロールの長手軸が垂直または略垂直となるように配置するステップと、
前記交互配置形態のロールの前記長手軸が垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢に維持されている状態で、前記熱可塑性材料内にガスを注入するために加圧されたガスの雰囲気に、前記配置された交互配置形態のロールを曝露するステップと、
を含み、
前記交互配置形態のロールを配置する前記ステップは、該ロールの底部から該ロール内に前記雰囲気内のガスを進入させる仕切りの上に該交互配置形態のロールを配置することを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記交互配置形態のロールを配置する前記ステップは、該ロールが圧力容器内に挿入された状態で、前記ロールの前記長手軸を垂直または略垂直に維持することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記交互配置形態のロールを配置する前記ステップは、該ロールを前記ガスの雰囲気の曝露する前に、該ロールの前記長軸が垂直または略垂直であるように該交互配置形態であるロールを維持することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記交互配置形態のロールを曝露するステップは、6時間から100時間の間、該ロールを曝露することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記交互配置形態のロールを曝露するステップは、400psiから1000psiの間で加圧されたガスの雰囲気に該ロールを曝露することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ガスの雰囲気はCO2及び窒素の少なくとも一方を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記交互配置形態のロールを曝露する前記ステップは、該ロールを圧力容器内に挿入することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 熱可塑性材料内にガスを注入する方法であって、
熱可塑性材料のシートを垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢に配置するステップと、
ガス透過性材料のシートを垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢に配置するステップと、
配置された前記熱可塑性材料の前記シートと、配置された前記ガス透過性材料の前記シートとを共に巻き上げて、前記ガス透過性材料と交互配置された前記熱可塑性材料のロールを形成するステップであって、該交互配置形態のロールが垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢に配向された長手軸を有している、ステップと、
前記交互配置形態のロールの長手軸が垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢に配向された状態で、前記熱可塑性材料にガスを注入するように加圧ガスの雰囲気に前記交互配置形態のロールを曝露するステップと、
前記交互配置形態のロールの長手軸が垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢の状態にあるとき、ガス注入された該交互配置形態のロールを巻き戻すステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記熱可塑性材料のシートは、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリスチレン、ポリカーボネート、アクリロニトリルブタジエンスチレン、グリコール改質PET、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、NORYL(酸化ポリフェニレンとポリスチレンのブレンド)、塩化ポリビニル、および結晶性PET(CPET)から選択される少なくとも1種を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記ガス透過性材料の前記シートは、セルロース、不織合成繊維、およびハイロフトテクスタイルから選択される少なくとも1種を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記交互配置形態のロールを加圧ガスの雰囲気に曝露する前に、前記長手軸が垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢を保つように前記熱可塑性材料の前記交互配置形態のロールを保持するステップをさらに含んでいることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記交互配置形態のロールにガスを注入した後に、前記長手軸が垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢を保つように前記熱可塑性材料のガス注入された前記交互配置形態のロールを保持するステップをさらに含んでいる、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性材料のシートを垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢に配置する前に、熱可塑性材料を押出し成型して該材料のシートを形成するステップをさらに含んでいる、請求項8記載の方法。
- ガス注入された前記交互配置形態のロールを巻き戻した後に、ガスを保持する前記熱可塑性材料のシートから前記ガス透過性材料を分離するステップをさらに含んでいることを特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。
- 熱可塑性材料内にガスを注入するシステムであって、
熱可塑性材料のシートとガス透過性材料のシートとを共に巻き上げ、該ガス透過性材料が交互配置された該熱可塑性材料のロールを形成するように構成されている交互配置装置であって、該交互配置形態のロールは、該交互配置形態のロールが形成される際に、前記交互配置装置によって垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢に保たれる長手軸を有している、交互配置装置と、
前記ロールの長軸が垂直または略垂直となる姿勢に前記交互配置形態のロールを保持し、前記熱可塑性材料にガスを注入させるようにガスの雰囲気を加圧状態に保持するように構成されている容器と、
前記ロールの前記長手軸が垂直姿勢または略垂直姿勢である間に、該交互配置形態のロールを巻き戻すように構成されている脱交互配置装置と、
を備えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記脱交互配置装置は、ガスが注入された前記熱可塑性材料の前記シートから前記ガス透過性材料を分離するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 熱可塑性材料のシートを形成するように構成されている押出し成型装置をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のシステム。
