Opfindelsen angår en fremgangsmåde til kontinuerlig fremstilling af en plade af mindst to lag af termoplastisk ekspanderet formstof som nærmere angivet i kravets indledning.
5 Ved forarbejdningen af ekspanderbare termoplastiske formstoffer er det kendt ved ekstrusion direkte at opnå plader af et eneste stykke med en i afhængighed af produktets anvendelsesformål i forvejen bestemt og undertiden betydelig tykkelse. Imidlertid har de hidtil kendte frem-10 gangsmåder kun tilladt fremstillingen af produkter med en forholdsvis stor vægtfylde, som ikke kan underskrides. I praksis er det ved disse fremgangsmåder altid nødvendigt at arbejde med høje temperaturer og at underkaste de ekstruderede, ekspanderede plader nogle kalibreringsoperationer 15 samt afkøling i lange perioder. Desuden skal de på denne måde fremstillede plader underkastes en hensigtsmæssig opbevaring ved kontrolleret temperatur, hvilket under hensyn til det forholdsvis store rumfang af materialet kræver, at der står forholdsvis store rum til rådighed, og dette med-20 fører store omkostninger.
I beskrivelsen til tysk brugsmønster nr. 7100165 beskrives fremstillingen af en sammensat folie bestående af et forstærkende lag, f.eks. en papirbane, og nogle på begge sider deraf påklæbede opskummede formstoflag, f.eks. polysty-25 ren, som før sammenklæbningen bringes på en ekspansionstemperatur under smeltetemperaturen og derved for-opskummes.
Det drejer sig her om at fremstille hårde og stærke plader med forholdsvis små omkostninger. Disse plader er komplekse, uhomogene produkter af flere indbyrdes forskellige lag.

1504917 kendes der også en sammenbinding af folier ved svejsning, ganske vist i en anden sammenhæng og med henblik på fremstillingen af elastiske gulv- eller vægbeklædninger.
2 150978 I forhold hertil angår den foreliggende opfindelse fremstillingen af plader af mindst to lag af termoplastisk ekspanderet formstof, idet fremstillingen skal forenkles på en sådan måde, at man ved lagerføring af plader med kun en 5 eneste tykkelsesværdi kan fremstille plader af vilkårlig tykkelse, alt efter de i praksis stillede krav.
Til dette formål anvises det ifølge opfindelsen, at man går frem som angivet i kravets kendetegnende del.
Derved opnås den fordel, at man ved arbejde ved for-10 holdsvis lave temperaturer kan fremstille flerlagsplader med en vægtfylde, som er mindre end vægtfylden af de enkelte som udgangsmateriale benyttede folier samt ringere end den vægtfylde, som fås ved fremstilling af plader af et eneste stykke.
Der fås robuste, kompakte produkter, fremstillingsmetoden for-15 enkles, og fremstillingsomkostningerne reduceres. Først og fremmest opnås imidlertid fordele i henseende til lagerføringen, som forenkles, fordi der kun skal lagerføres plader af en bestemt tykkelse, idet man til enhver tid kan sammenføje de eksisterende plader til tykkere plader efter behov.
20 Opfindelsen skal forklares nærmere i forbindelse med tegningen, hvor fig. 1 viser et apparat til gennemførelse af den omhandlede fremgangsmåde, set fra siden, fig. 2 en del af det i fig. 1 viste apparat i side-25 billede og delvis i snit og i større målestok, og fig. 3 en ved fremgangsmåden ifølge opfindelsen fremstillet plade i perspektiv.
På tegningen er der vist en ovni^om benyttes til sam-30 tidig opvarmning af to eller flere ark 2 af ekspanderet termoplastisk materiale, som skal forenes, en kalibrerings- og afkølingsstation 3 for arkene i forenet tilstand og en station 4, som benyttes til den efterfølgende trykning og skæring af produktet til plader.
35 Ovnen 1 omfatter et kammer 5, i hvilket der er an bragt understøtnings- og transportmidler for hvert ark, idet transportmidlerne tillader hvert enkelt ark 2 at bevæges 3 150978 kontinuerligt gennem ovnen. Disse transportmidler kan f.eks. være i form af ruller 6, som bestemmer en bane for arkene. Alternativt kan transportmidlerne være endeløse bælter eller kæder eller alle andre egnede indretninger, som er i 5 stand til individuelt og separat at transportere arkene 2, Understøtnings- og transportmidlerne 6 ligger på linie med tilsvarende indløbspassage 7 i den ene væg af ovnen 1, Arkene 2 ekstruderes og modnes og vikles derpå om rullerne R, Arkene trækkes fra rullerne R og træder ind i 10 ovnen 1 gennem passagerne 7, Som vist er disse passager 7 dannet i den ene af endevæggene i ovnen 1,
Det bør imidlertid bemærkes, at arkene af ekspanderet materiale kan tilføres enten vandret eller lodret uden nogen skadelig indflydelse på behandlingen deraf, Eøringsor-15 ganerne 6 for arkene er derfor monteret tilsvarende.
I alle tilfælde tilvejebringes der i væggen af ovnen modsat væggen med indløbspassageme 7 en enkelt udløbspassage 8 for alle arkene 2, I ovnen 1 nær udløbspassagen 8 er der monteret 'mindst ét par indstillelige føringsruller 9, 20 som bevirker, at arkene 2 konvergerer mod hinanden, så at de overlejres helt.
Til opvarmning af arkene af ekstruderet ekspanderet materiale 2, idet de passerer gennem ovnen 1, er der anbragt opvarmningsorganer 10 såsom elektriske modstand sopvarmnings-25 paneler mellem understøtningen og transportorganerne 6 for arkene 2, hvilke opvarmningspaneler opretholder et ovnkammer ved en i forvejen bestemt temperatur til frembringelse af en i forvejen bestemt ekspansion af hvert enkelt ark. Det vil let forstås, at ekspansionen af hvert ark bevirker en 30 reduktion af dets vægtfylde.
Endvidere er der i området nær udløbet 8 af ovnen 1, hvor arkene 2’ konvergerer mod parret af føringsruller 9, anbragt yderligere opvarmningselementer 11 til opvarmning af modsatte overfladeområder af naboark til deres smelte-35 temperatur. En sådan smeltning tillader naboarkene at hæfte eller smelte sammen, idet de passerer mellem rullerne 9.

Dette gælder, uanset om overfladerne af arkene er glatte eller er blevet underkastet en forudgående mekanisk forbehandling.
Under deres passage gennem ovnen 1 kan arkene 2 såle-5 des behandles ved enhver passende ønsket temperatur i et i forvejen bestemt tidsrum. Ted en sådan behandling undergår de en ekspansion udover den i begyndelsen, hvilken gør det muligt at reducere vægtfylden af arket til en ønsket værdi. Efter den yderligere ekspansion klæber overfladerne sammen, 10 når de underkastes indvirkningen af opvarmningselementerne 11, så at i det mindste deres overfladeområde opvarmes til deres smeltepunkt. Uår de passerer mellem føringsrullerne 9, svejses arkene altså sammen under dannelse af en enkelt plade 20 med et stort antal lag svarende til antallet 15 af benyttede ark, idet tykkelsen af pladen er lig med summen af tykkelserne af de benyttede ark,og en vægtfylde, som afhænger af vægtfvlderne af de benyttede ark.
Afhængende af karakteren af det termoplastiske materiale, hvoraf arkene er dannet, kan temperaturen i ovnen 20 variere fra 100 til 200°C, og den hastighed, hvormed arkene transporteres gennem ovnen, kan være fra 4 til 15 m. Under anvendelse af disse parametre er det muligt at opnå en reduktion i vægtfylden fra 60 til 70 g/liter i udgangsarkene til 22 g/liter i slutproduktet.
25 Fremgangsmåden ifølge opfindelsen tillader med andre ord,-at rumfanget af udgangsarket forøges betydeligt, uden at det medfører nogen væsentlige tekniske vanskeligheder.
Det således fremstillede flerlagsprodukt kan derpå føres til og gennem en kalibrerings- og afkølingsstation 5, 30 hvor de fysiske egenskaber af slutproduktet fikseres. Denne station 3 omfatter som vist i fig, 2 to sæt indstillelige ruller 12, som vender mod hinanden, så at der imellem dem bestemmes en føringsbane, langs hvilken pladen 20 skal passere. Under sin passage mellem rullerne afkøles arket f.eks.
35 af luft, som tiseder ud gennem åbninger 13 anbragt over og under rullerne 12,og af vand.

Efter afkøling er produktet parat til at underkastes en efterfølgende trykning og at blive tilskåret i den ønskede størrelse. Dette sker i behandlingsstationen 4.
Under anvendelse af den ovenfor beskrevne fremgangs-5 måde er det muligt at danne plader ud fra et vilkårligt ekstruderet ekspanderet termoplastisk materiale, idet de ark, som udgør pladen, valgfrit kan indeholde sådanne additiver som brandhæmmende og farvende stoffer. Hvis arkene er af fibrøst materiale, kan fibrene have en orientering eller være 10 vilkårligt fordelt.
Under fremgangsmåden er det også muligt at påføre den ene eller begge overflader af det færdige produkt formstof-laminater eller almindeligt eller bituminøst papir til opnåelse af et slutprodukt med en ønsket struktur og med ønske-15 de egenskaber.
Endelig fås på simpel og økonomisk måde et flerlags-produkt, som har en vægtfylde, varmeisolation, mekanisk styrke, lav fugtabsorption, stor vanddampuigennemtrængelighed og dimensionsstabilitet svarende til lignende produkter op-20 nået direkte ved ekstrudering som en enkeltlagsstruktur.

150978 6 Fremgangsmåde til kontinuerlig fremstilling af en plade af mindst to lag af termoplastisk ekspanderet formstof, hvor folier af forekspanderet formstof i en opvarmningszone ved opvarmning bringes op på en ekspansionstemperatur, som er 5 mindre end smeltetemperaturen, men høj nok til at ekspandere formstoffet til en i forvejen fastlagt slutværdi for materialevægtfylden, og forbindes med hinanden, kendetegnet ved, at folierne i en første opvarmningszone indbyrdes separat opvarmes til ekspansionstemperaturen, at de 10 overflader af folierne, som skal forbindes med hinanden, derpå opvarmes til smeltetemperatur i en anden opvarmningszone, og at de til smeltning opvarmede overflader af folierne derefter svejses sammen ved presning mod hinanden.
