Abstract

The present utility model relates to a process of producing dried splitted assorted low value fish treated with calamansi and garlic and a product therefrom that would be providing a healthy food option for individuals who are vitamins and minerals deficient. The process of producing dried splitted assorted low value fish treated with calamansi and garlic comprises the steps of: a. securing and collecting assorted low value fish in a containing means; b. splitting, washing and cleaning the assorted low value fish; c. soaking the assorted low value fish in brine solution; d. soaking the brine-treated assorted fish in calamansi; e. draining the calamansi-treated assorted fish; f. soaking the drained assorted fish in garlic concentrate; g. drying the garlic-treated assorted fish; and h. frying the dried assorted fish. The product produced by the foregoing process is a fried food item.
