Abstract

The present utility model relates to a process of producing dried splitted assorted low value fish treated with calamansi and turmeric and a product therefrom that yields nutrient-rich food option needed to address vitamins and minerals deficiencies leading to health maladies. The process comprises the steps of: a. securing and collecting assorted low value fish in a containing means; b. washing and cleaning the collected assorted low value fish; c. soaking the cleaned fish in brine solution; d. soaking the brine-treated fish in calamansi; e. draining the calamansi-treated fish; f. soaking the drained fish in turmeric concentrate; g. drying the turmeric-treated fish; and h. frying the dried fish. The product produced by the foregoing process is a fried food item.
