Abstract
Formlegemer på basis av silisiumdioksyd som foreligger i en hulsylinderkonfigurasjon med innvendig forsterkende steg eller eker som forløper fra den indre vegg av hul- sylinderen mot sentrum av formlegemet eller i form av såkalte minilitter fremstilles idet silisiumdioksyd homogeniseres med metylhydroksyetylcellulose, voks og/eller poly- etylenglycol under tilsetning av vann samt eventuelt under tilsetning av en vandig, ammoniakalsk oppløsning, underkastes en elte- og formingsmetode, ekstruderes, hvorefter ekstrudatet eventuelt kuttes til ønsket lengde ved hjelp av en kutteinnretning, tørkes massen ved en temperatur fra 20 til 150°C og tempres i 30 minutter til 10 timer ved en temperatur fra 400 til 1200°C. Disse formlegemer kan anvendes som katalysatorbærer ved fremstilling av umettede estere av olefmer, organiske syrer og oksygen i gassfase og særlig ved vinylacetat- monomerfremstilling.
