Abstract

Pressede legemer på basis av pyrogent fremstilt silisiumdioksyd med et porevolum på 0,5 til 1,8 ml/g fremstilles ved at man homogeniserer pyrogent fremstilt silisiumdioksyd med metylhydroksyetylcellulose, voks og polyetylenglykol under tilsats av vann, underkaster dette en kna- og deformasjonsfremgangsmåte, ekstruderer, ekstrudatene kuttes eventuelt ved hjelp av en kutteinnretning til den ønskede lengden, tørkes ved en temperatur på 70 til 150°C og tempereres i et tidsrom på 30 minutter til 10 timer ved en temperatur på 400 til 1200°C. Disse pressede legemene kan anvendes som katalysator eller katalysatorbærer ved vinylacetatmonomerfremstillinge^ved etylenhydratisering og propylenhydratisering.
