l-(3-klorfenyl)-4-hydroksymetyl- 7, 8-dimetoksy-5H-2,3-benzodiazepin med '. formel (I) ¿¿/.fe" og farmasøytisk akseptable syreaddi- sjonssalter derav. Forbindelsen og saltene har verdifulle angstdempende, antiaggresjons- og antidepresjons- virkninger, og har samtidig gunstige verdier med hensyn til akutt toksi- sitet. Fremstillingen av forbindelsen og saltene er beskrevet.
