Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår varmbearbeidet stål som har følgende kjemiske sammensetning i vekt%: 0,30-0,50 % C, 0-1,5 % Si, 0-1,8 % Mn, 1,5-3,5 % Cr, 0,3-0,9 % (Mo + W/2), 0,4-0,8 % (V + N/2). De gjenværende er jern og uunngåelige urenheter.
