Abstract
Det beskrives en transmisjonslinje som monitoreres idet kommunikasjon holdes ved "steady state" og, der et tonesett flyttes dersom det ikke er toner som sikrer en forutbestemt verdi av et S/N-forhold. Tonesettet flyttes ikke dersom det er minst to toner som sikrer S/N-forholdet. Tonesettet flyttes av den forutbestemte fremgangsmåte dersom det ikke er noen toner som sikrer S/N-forholdet, og det vurderes at kommunikasjonskvaliteten kan opprettholdes ved å flytte tonesettet innen samme tonegruppe. Tonegruppen flyttes dersom det vurderes at kommunikasjonskvaliteten ikke kan opprettholdes selv ved å utføre flytting av tonesettet i samme tonegruppe.
