Abstract
Un conductor de protones electronicamente aislante (C) se adhiere o deposita como una pelicula en un material permeable a protones de fase densa (D) en un grosor tal que el compuesto (C/D) tiene una conductividad de protones en un rango de temperatura intermedia preferido de 175-500degree C. El C/D compuesto se incorpora en un ensamble de electrolito de membrana de un electrolito de alta temperatura (MEA), que se incorpora en una celda de combustible que puede operar en este rango de temperatura intermedia. La celda de combustible se incorpora a su vez en un sistema de celda de combustible que tiene un reformador de combustible en el campo de flujo de una mezcla de combustible que entra a la celda de combustible, o en una forma en que la celda de combustible recibe combustible de un reformador externo.
