Abstract

Se describe un cuerpo absorbedor de líquidos y un método para la fabricacion del cuerpo absorbedor de líquidos, el cual tiene una excelente propiedad de hinchamiento y habilidad para retener el líquido absorbido, en un estado vertical, y el cual es apropiado para una produccion en masa a un costo de produccion bajo. Este cuerpo absorbedor de líquidos incluye fibras de celulosa naturales y/o fibras sintéticas, un material térmicamente fusible y un material espesante. Este cuerpo absorbedor de líquidos es formado mediante la desfibracion de fibras de celulosa naturales y/o fibras sintéticas, un material térmicamente fusible y un material espesante en aire, y mezcl ndolos para formar un mallado, calentando de este modo el mallado forma a una temperatura mayor que el punto de fusion del material térmicamente fusible y luego mezclando el material espesante en una red mediante la compresion de mallado mediante un rodillo prensador.
