Abstract
Un sistema de diagnostico para un sistema de control de emision evaporante de un vehículo accionado mediante un motor de combustion interna emplea una bomba de movimiento recíproco de desplazamiento positivo (24) para crear un espacio de emision evaporante a una presion que difiere significativamente de la presion atmosférica ambiente. La bomba (24) se accionada utilizando un vacío de multiple de consumo de motor para forzar una carrera de consumo durante la cual tanto el resorte interno 74 se incrementa comprimiendo y una carga de aire atmosférico ambiental se crea en un espacio de cámara de bombeo de aire (62). Después, el vacío se remueva, y el resorte (74) se relaja para forzar una carrera de compresion, en donde una porcion de la carga de aire es forzada hacia el espacio de emision evaporante. La operacion de la bomba está bajo el control de una computadora que contiene un algoritmo para operar la bomba en modos particulares de operacion para obtener una decision con respecto a la integridad del espacio de emision evaporante contra la fuga.
