Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para detectar infección por H. pylori en un sujeto, caracterizado porque el método comprende detectar en una muestra del sujeto una respuesta inmunitaria contra FliD, en donde la respuesta inmunitaria comprende un anticuerpo anti-FliD, en donde el método comprende hacer reaccionar la muestra con FliD o un fragmento del mismo, en donde el fragmento tiene una secuencia de aminoácidos que es lo suficientemente larga como para identificar que el fragmento sea un fragmento de FliD y excluir que el fragmento es un fragmento de una proteína o polipéptido diferente de FliD.
