Abstract

Un sistema y método de captura de imagen para formación de imágenes de muestras biológicas dispuestas en medio de cultivo soportado mediante una placa. El sistema tiene un módulo de calibración, un módulo de adquisición de imagen y un módulo de presentación de imagen. Cuando el sistema recibe una placa de cultivo para formación de imágenes, se usan valores por defecto para la placa y medio de cultivo para empezar la adquisición de imagen en un tiempo dado. La imagen capturada se usa a continuación para crear un mapa pixel a píxel de la imagen. El sistema inspecciona el mapa pixel a pixel para píxeles saturados y para la relación de señal a ruido y obtiene una nueva imagen si el número de píxeles saturados está en o por encima de un umbral predeterminado o la relación de señal a ruido para el píxel está por debajo de un umbral predeterminado. A partir de esta inspección se determina un nuevo valor del flujo de fotones y/o tiempo de exposición y se captura una nueva imagen usando el nuevo valor y se repiten las etapas. Tras una determinación de que se ha obtenido una relación de señal a ruido umbral predeterminada para los píxeles no saturados, o cuando ha transcurrido el umbral superior predeterminado para el intervalo de tiempo para la adquisición de imagen el sistema proporciona una imagen final para el tiempo dado.
