Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de 4-ciclohexil-2-metil-2-butanol. El proceso implica los siguientes pasos: a) la reacción de estireno con isopropanol a temperatura elevada, dando 4-fenil-2-metil-2-butanol, y b) hidrogenación catalítica heterogénea de 4-fenil-2-metil-2-butanol sobre un catalizador para la hidrogenación de anillos aromáticos.
