Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un proceso para preparar un alcohol insaturado de la fórmula OH (1), Donde uno de R' y R2 es preferiblemente alquilo C2-Cio o alquenilo C2-C10 que contiene un enlace doble y el otro es preferiblemente hidrógeno o metilo; R3 es preferiblemente hidrógeno; que comprende someter una composición reactiva que incluye, al menos, 75% en peso de un aldehido insaturado de la fórmula (II) P1, R2 R3 Donde R1. R2 y R3 tienen preferiblemente los significados definidos anteriormente, a una hidrogenación en presencia de un catalizador y una amina terciaria; donde la amina terciaria se utiliza en una cantidad que oscila de 0.001 a 0.7% en peso, con base en la cantidad total de la mezcla de reacción liquida. La invención se refiere, además, al compuesto nerol obtenible por el proceso de la invención, a una composición de sustancias de fragancia o aroma que comprende el compuesto nerol obtenible por el proceso de la invención, a un método para impartir y/o intensificar un aroma o sabor de un producto, y también a productos perfumados o aromatizados que comprenden un compuesto nerol obtenible por el proceso de la invención.
