Abstract

El compuesto químico de carburo nanoestructurado se utiliza para convertir el carburo en carbono. Un método que comprende: proporcionar al menos un compuesto químico de carburo y reducir un catión metálico con el uso del compuesto químico de carburo para formar carbono elemental, en donde el compuesto químico de carburo es nanoestructurado. El compuesto químico de carburo nanoestructurado puede estar en forma de una nanopartícula, un nanoalambre, un nanotubo, una nanopelícula, una nanolínea. El reactivo puede ser una sal metálica. Para formar el carbono se puede usar una reacción electroquímica, o una reacción en la masa fundida o en solución. El compuesto químico de carburo nanoestructurado puede ser un electrodo.
