Abstract

Se da a conocer un proceso para producir un alcano dorado de 3 a 6 átomos de carbono que comprende proporcionar una mezcla de reacción que comprende un alqueno y tetracloruro de carbono en una zona de alquilación principal para producir alcano clorado de 3 a 6 átomos de carbono en la mezcla de reacción, y extraer una porción de la mezcla de reacción de la zona de alquilación principal, en donde: a) la concentración del alcano clorado de 3 a 6 átomos de carbono en la mezcla de reacción en la zona de alquilación principal se mantiene a un nivel tal que la relación molar del alcano clorado de 3 a 6 átomos de carbono:tetracloruro de carbono en la mezcla de reacción extraída de la zona de alquilación no exceda 95:5 cuando la zona de alquilación principal esté en operación continua; y/o b) la mezcla de reacción extraída de la zona de alquilación principal comprende adicionalmente alqueno y la mezcla de reacción se sujeta a un paso de desalquenación en el cual por lo menos aproximadamente 50% en peso o más del alqueno presente en la mezcla de reacción se extrae de la misma y por lo menos aproximadamente 50% del alqueno extraído es alimentado nuevamente dentro de la mezcla de reacción proporcionada en la zona de alquilación principal; y/o c) la mezcla de reacción presente en la zona de alquilación principal y extraída de la zona de alquilación principal comprende adicionalmente un catalizador, y la mezcla de reacción extraída de la zona de alquilación principal se sujeta a un paso de tratamiento acuoso en el cual la mezcla de reacción se pone en contacto con un medio acuoso en una zona de tratamiento acuoso, una mezcla bifásica se forma y un catalizador que comprende una fase orgánica se extrae de la mezcla bifásica.
