Abstract

É descrito um processo para produção de um alcano C3-6 clorado compreendendo prover uma mistura de reação compreendendo um alceno e tetracloreto de carbono em uma zona de alquilação principal para produzir alcano C3-6 clorado na mistura de reação, e extrair uma porção da mistura de reação a partir da zona de alquilação principal, em que: a) a concentração do alcano C3-6 clorado na mistura de reação na zona de alquilação principal é mantida em um nível tal que a razão molar de alcano C3-6 clorado : tetracloreto de carbono na mistura de reação extraída da zona de alquilação não excede 95:5 quando a zona de alquilação principal está em operação contínua; e/ou b) a mistura de reação extraída da zona de alquilação principal compreende adicionalmente alceno e a mistura de reação está sujeita a uma etapa de desalcenização no qual pelo menos cerca de 50% em peso ou mais do alceno presente na mistura de reação é extraído do mesmo e pelo menos cerca de 50% do alceno extraído é realimentado na mistura de reação provida na zona de alquilação principal; e/ou c) a mistura de reação presente na zona de alquilação principal e extraída da zona de alquilação principal compreende adicionalmente um catalisador, e a mistura de reação extraída da zona de alquilação principal está sujeita a uma etapa de tratamento aquoso na qual a mistura de reação entra em contato com um meio aquoso em uma zona de tratamento aquoso, uma mistura bifásica é formada e uma fase orgânica compreendendo catalisador é extraída da mistura bifásica.
