Abstract
Se provee un método de soldadura por puntos de arco capaz de producir un diámetro de cordón de soldadura predeterminado y altura de refuerzo en cordones de soldadura de superficie posterior durante la soldadura por puntos de arco y obtener juntas de soldadura que tienen excelente resistencia a la tracción en términos tanto de TSS como de CTS, y un dispositivo de soldadura para realizar el método. En el método, una placa de acero (1) que tiene un espesor t y que contiene por lo menos 0.2% en masa de carbono, y por lo menos una placa de acero (1) que tiene un espesor de por lo menos t y que contiene por lo menos 0.2% en masa de carbono se colocan de modo que se superponen; un metal de respaldo (4), que tiene una parte sin contacto y una parte de contacto mediante la cuales la parte sin contacto es mantenida en un estado sin contacto en relación con la superficie posterior de la placa de acero inferior, está situada de tal manera que la parte de contacto hace contacto con la superficie posterior de la placa de acero inferior (1) en una posición de más de 3t desde el centro equivalente de círculo de un cordón de soldadura de superficie posterior; la generación de arco se lleva a cabo de manera repetida en forma alternada con la aplicación de una corriente de cortocircuito en la cual el voltaje de soldadura entre un alambre de soldadura y la placa de acero superior se vuelve 10 V o menos, de tal manera que el período de aplicación de corriente de cortocircuito es 30-60%, exclusivo, por ciclo; y las placas de acero (1, 1) son soldadas.
