Abstract

En respuesta a la detección de que uno o más cuadros de video o porciones de los mismos no han sido recibidos y/o descodificados exitosamente, entonces se codifica un nuevo cuadro de video o porción del mismo de acuerdo con un segundo formato de codificación o se codifica el nuevo cuadro de video para que dependa del último cuadro de video o porción del mismo que se sabe ha sido recibido y/o descodificado exitosamente, y: (1) si no e4s usada la codificación de corrección de errores anticipada (FEC) para transmitir la pluralidad de cuadros o porciones de video codificados, entonces codificar un nuevo cuadro de video o porción del mismo usando la codificación FEC; o (2) si es usada una primera codificación FEC para transmitir la pluralidad de cuadros o porciones de video codificados, entonces codificar un nuevo cuadro de video o porción del mismo, usando una segunda codificación FEC , siendo la segunda codificación FEC una codificación FEC relativamente más fiert5e que la primera codificación FEC; y transmitir el nuevo cuadro de video o porción del mismo al dispositivo cliente.
