Abstract

I den hensikt å kunne utføre kommunikasjon uavhengig av om man befinner seg innendørs eller utendørs, er det i den beskrevne mobile satellittkommunikasjonsterminal ordnet slik at når den benyttes innendørs, utgjøres den av en innendørsterminal (4) som omfatter en innendørsenhet (30) bestående av en antenne (6) og en HF-seksjonen (8) for en overflateradiokanal (12), slik at innendørsterminalen kan kommunisere med en forsterker- terminal (10) over denne kanal (12). Forsterkerterminalen (10) er på sin side installert på et sted fra hvilket ved- kommende satellitt (2) kan sees, og forsterkerterminalen kommuniserer så videre med satellitten (2) ved utnyttelse av en satellittkanal (11). Når derimot terminalen benyttes utendørs, utgjøres den av en utendørsterminal (3) ved, i stedet for nevnte innendørsenhet (30), å montere en utendørs- enhet (20) for bruk på satellittkanalen (11) og som består av en antenne (5) og en HF-seksjon (7) for satellittkanalen.
