Abstract

비디오의 부호화, 복호화 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 비디오 부호화 방법은 계층적 구조의 데이터 단위에 기초하여 비디오를 부호화하고, 데이터 단위의 적어도 하나 이상의 부가 정보에 기초하여 데이터 단위의 구문 요소의 엔트로피 부호화에 이용되는 컨텍스트 모델을 결정하며, 결정된 컨텍스트 모델을 이용하여 데이터 단위의 구문 요소를 엔트로피 부호화한다.
