Abstract
La invención se refiere a aerogeles de carbono con tamaños de partícula inferiores a 1 µm. Los aerogeles de carbono se preparan (A) haciendo reaccionar un mono y/o polihidroxibenceno, un aldehído y un catalizador en un reactor a una temperatura T de reacción en el intervalo de 75-200°C a una presión de 80-2400 kPa, (B) rociando luego la mezcla de reacción de la etapa (A) del proceso en un ácido, (C) secando el producto resultante de la etapa (B) del proceso y (D) carbonizándolo. Los aerogeles de carbono de conformidad con la invención se pueden usar como material de relleno, relleno de refuerzo, estabilizador UV, material de electrodo, absorbente de sonido, material aislante térmico, catalizador, soporte de catalizador, aditivo de conductividad, absorbedores para la separación de gases y/o líquido o pigmento.
