Abstract

Se divulga un método para recoger un componente útil a partir de un residuo de fibra de poliéster que comprende principalmente un tereftalato de polialquileno, específicamente para separar o remover una materia foránea (en la mayoría de los casos, algodón) de un residuo de fibra de poliéster. Se divulga específicamente un método para separar/remover una materia foránea diferente de un tereftalato de polialquileno de un residuo de fibra de poliéster que comprende principalmente el tereftalato de polialquileno y contiene una materia foránea. El método comprende los pasos de cargar el residuo de fibra de poliéster en un tanque de despolimerización para provocar que una parte o la totalidad de la fibra de poliéster sea despolimerizada con un alquilenglicol, produciendo por consiguiente una solución de despolimerización; y alimentar continua o intermitentemente la solución de despolimerización a un aparato de separación/remoción de materias foráneas que tiene propiedades características específicas.
