Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a el nuevo uso industrial de una composición carboxílica post-tratada como lubricante, en donde la composición carboxílica post-tratada comprende el producto de reacción de un compuesto carboxílico con uno o más compuestos de post-tratamiento seleccionados del grupo que consiste de óxido de boro, hidratado de óxido de boro, haluros de boro, ácidos de boro, esteres de ácidos de boro, disulfuro de carbono,H2S de boro azufre, cloruro de azufre, cianuros de alquenilo, agentes acilantes de ácido carboxílico, aldehidos, centonas, urea, tiourea, guanidina, dicianodiamida, fosfatos de hidrocarbilo, fosfitos de hidrocarbilo, tiofosfatos de hidrocarbilo, tiofosfitos de hidrocarbilo sulfuros de fósforo, óxidos fosforosos, ácido fosfórico, tiocianatos de hidrocarbilo, isocianatos de hidrocarbilo, isiotiocianatos de hodrocarbilo, epóxidos, episulfuros, formaldehído o compuestos productores de formaldehido más fenoles y azufre más fenoles, en donde dicho compuesto carboxílico comprende el producto de reacción de cuando menos un agente acilante succíníco substituído con un compuesto seleccionado del grupo que consiste de (a) amina, teniendo dentro de su estructura cuando menos un grupo H-N, (b) alcohol, (c) metal reactivo o compuesto de metal reactivo y (d) una combinación de dos o más de cualquier de (a) a (c), en donde el agente acilante succíníco substituído consiste de grupos substituyentes y grupos succínícos, en donde los grupos substituyentes son derivados de polialqueno teniendo un valor (Mn) de número de peso molecular promedio de 1300 hasta alrededor de 5000 y un valor (Mw/Mn) de peso molecula r promedio al número de peso molecular promedio aproximadamente 1.5 a 4, dicho agente acilante teniendo dentro de su estructura un promedio de cuando menos 1.3 grupos succínícos por cada peso equivalente de grupos substituyentes.
