Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un mezclador y distribuidor de gas para alimentar una mezcla de reacción gaseosa a un reactor, teniendo el mezclador y distribuidor de gas una primera cámara con una primera entrada para recibir un primer reactivo gaseoso, una segunda cámara con una segunda entrada para recibir un segundo reactivo gaseoso, caracterizado porque la segunda cámara está interpuesta entre la primera cámara y una entrada de una cámara de reacción; paredes cerradas que forman una pluralidad de pasajes alargados, que se extienden desde la primera cámara a través de la segunda, hasta el reactor; cada una de las pluralidad de pasajes alargados incluye una primera sección de sección uniforme que comunica, en un primer extremo, con la primera cámara; y una segunda sección, de sección que aumenta gradualmente, que comunica entre el segundo extremo de la primera sección y la entrada al reactor; estando diseñadas las secciones transversales de las primeras secciones de pasaje para proveer flujos turbulentos de gas a través de las mismas a una velocidad que es superior a la velocidad de reversión de una mezcla del primero y segundo reactivos gaseosos; una pluralidad de orificios en las paredes cerradas, y que comunican entre la segunda cámara y la pluralidad respectiva de primeras secciones de pasaje, para dejar pasar corrientes del segundo reactivo gaseoso hacia las primeras secciones de pasaje, los orificios tienen tamaños diseñados para proveer velocidad uniforme del segundo reactivo gaseoso hacia las primeras secciones de pasaje; estando los orificios separados adicionalmente de los segundos extremos de las primeras secciones de pasaje para garantizar el mezclado sustancialmente completo de los reactivos gaseosos primero y segundo dentro de las secciones primeras de pasaje, antes de entrar en las segundas secciones de pasaje; y la sección que aumenta gradualmente de las segundas secciones de pasaje, está diseñada para disminuir la velocidad de flujo de la mezcla de reactivos gaseosos y para distribuir el flujo de la mezcla uniformemente a través de la cámara de reacción.
