Abstract
본 발명은 다음 화학식(1)의 프로피올로니트릴 유도체에 관한 것이다.
상기 식에서, n1 및 n2는 각각 독립적으로 0 또는 1이고, A1, A2 및 A3은 각각 독립적으로 1,4-페닐렌 ; 하나 이상의 분소 원자에 의해 치환된 1,4-페닐렌 ; 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌 ; 1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일 ; 또는 1,3-피리미딘-2,5-디일이며, Z1, Z2 및 Z3은 각각 독립적으로 단일 결합, 에틸렌, 에테닐렌, 에티닐렌, 카보닐옥시, 옥시카보닐, 메틸렌옥시, 옥시메틸렌, 1,4-부틸렌 또는 1,4-부테닐렌이고, R은 탄소수 1 내지 10의 포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼 ; 탄소수 2 내지 10의 불포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼 ; 쇄 내에 하나 이상의 에테르 결합(-0-)을 함유하는 탄소수 1 내지 10의 포화 또는 불포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼 ; 및 쇄 내에 하나 이상의 불소 원자를 함유하는 탄소수 1 내지 10의 포화 또는 불포화의 불소-치환된 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼이며, X1 및 X2는 각각 독립적으로 H, F 또는 C1인데, 단, n1 및 n2 모두가 0이고 Z1이 단일 결합, 에틸렌, 카보닐옥시 또는 옥시카보닐이며 R이 알킬 또는 알콕시인 경우, 또는 n1이 1이고 n2가 1 또는 0이며 Z1 및 Z2가 각각 독립적으로 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌이고 Z3이 에틸렌이며 R이 알킬 또는 알콕시인 경우에는, X1 및 X2 중의 하나 이상은 F 또는 C1이다.
당해 화합물은 저점도와 같은 액정 조성물의 특성을 유지시키고 높은 탄성 상수비를 제공할 수 있으면서도, 넓은 액정 온도 범위, 높은 유전 이방성 및 다른 액정 화합물과의 우수한 혼합성 등과 같은 액정 조성물의 성분으로서 우수한 특성을 갖는다.

Claims (32)
- 다음 화학식(1)의 프로피올로니트릴 유도체에 관한 것이다.상기 식에서, n1 및 n2는 각각 독립적으로 0 또는 1이고, A1, A2 및 A3은 각각 독립적으로 1,4-페닐렌 ; 하나 이상의 불소 원자에 의해 치환된 1,4-페닐렌 ; 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌 ; 1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일 ; 또는 1,3-피리미딘-2,5-디일이며, Z1, Z2 및 Z3은 각각 독립적으로 단일 결합, 에틸렌, 에테닐렌, 에티닐렌, 카보닐옥시, 옥시카보닐, 메틸렌옥시, 옥시메틸렌, 1,4-부틸렌 또는 1,4-부테닐렌이고, R은 탄소수 1 내지 10의 포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼 ; 탄소수 2 내지 10의 불포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼 ; 쇄 내에 하나 이상의 에테르 결합(-0-)을 함유하는 탄소수 1 내지 10의 포화 또는 불포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼 ; 및 쇄 내에 하나 이상의 불소 원자를 함유하는 탄소수 1 내지 10의 불소-치환된 포화 또는 불포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼이며, X1 및 X2는 각각 독립적으로 H, F 또는 C1인데, 단, n1 및 n2 모두가 0이고 Z1이 단일 결합, 에틸렌, 카보닐옥시 또는 옥시카보닐이며 R이 알킬 또는 알콕시인 경우, 또는 n1이 1이고 n2가 1 또는 0이며 Z1 및 Z2가 각각 독립적으로 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌이고 Z3이 에틸렌이며 R이 알킬 또는 알콕시인 경우에는, X1 및 X2 중의 하나 이상은 F 또는 C1이다.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 1인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, R이 탄소수 2 내지 10의 알케닐인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, R이 탄소수 2 내지 10의 알케닐이고 X1 및 X2가 둘 다 수소인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 R이 탄소수 2 내지 10의 알케닐인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이며 R이 탄소수 2 내지 10의 알케닐인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 Z1이 단일 결합이며 R이 탄소수 2 내지 10의 알케닐인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이며 R이 탄소수 2 내지 10의 알케닐인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, X1 및 X2 중의 하나 또는 둘 다가 F 또는 C1이고 R이 탄소수 1 내지 10의 알킬인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, Z1, Z2 및 Z3 중의 어느 하나가 에틸렌, 1,4-부틸렌, 옥시메틸렌 또는 메틸렌옥시이고, 다른 라디칼이 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 Z1이 에틸렌, 1,4-부틸렌, 옥시메틸렌 또는 메틸렌옥시인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이고, Z1, Z2 및 Z3 중의 어느 하나가 에틸렌, 1,4-부틸렌, 옥시메틸렌 또는 메틸렌옥시이고, 다른 라디칼이 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 1이고, Z1, Z2 및 Z3 중의 어느 하나가 에테닐렌, 1,4-부테닐렌 또는 에티닐렌이고, 다른 라디칼이 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 Z1이 에테닐렌, 1,4-부테닐렌 또는 에티닐렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이고 Z1 및 Z2 중의 어느 하나가 에테닐렌, 1,4-부테닐렌 또는 에티닐렌이고, 다른 하나가 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 1이고 Z1, Z2 및 Z3 중의 어느 하나가 카보닐옥시 또는 하이드록시카보닐이고 다른 라디칼이 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 1이고 Z1, Z2 및 Z3 중의 어느 하나가 카보닐옥시 또는 옥시카보닐이고 다른 라디칼이 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌이며 X1 및 X2 중의 하나 또는 둘 다가 F인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 Z이 카보닐옥시 또는 하이드록시카보닐인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 Z1이 카보닐옥시 또는 하이드록시카보닐이며 X1 및 X2 중의 하나 또는 둘 다가 F인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이며 Z1 및 Z2 중의 어느 하나가 카보닐옥시 또는 옥시카보닐이고 다른 하나가 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이며 Z1 및 Z2 중의 어느 하나가 카보닐옥시 또는 옥시카보닐이고 다른 하나가 단일 결합 또는 에틸렌이며 X1 및 X2 중의 하나 또는 둘 다가 F인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 A1이 1,4-사이클로헥실렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1 및 n2가 0이고 A1이 하나 이상의 불소 원자에 의해 치환될 수 있는 1,4-페닐렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이며 A1 및 A2 중의 하나 또는 둘 다가 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 있어서, n1이 1이고 n2가 0이며 A1 및 A2 중의 하나 또는 둘 다가 1,4-페닐렌인 유도체.
- 제1항에 따르는 프로피올로니트릴 유도체를 하나 이상 함유하는 성분을 둘이상 포함하는 액정 조성물.
- 제1성분으로서 제1항에 따르는 하나 이상의 프로피올로니트릴 유도체와 제2성분으로서 하나 이상의 다음 화학식(2)의 화합물을 포함하는 액정 조성물.상기 식에서, a는 1 또는 2이고, b는 0 또는 1이며, A4는 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌, 또는 하나 이상의 불소 원자에 치환될 수 있는 1,4-페닐렌이고, Z4 및 Z5는 각각 독립적으로 단일 결합, 에틸렌 또는 에테닐렌이며, R1은 탄소수 1 내지 10의 알킬 그룹이고, X5는 F, CF3, OCF3, OCF2H 또는 Cl이며, (F)는 페닐 환이 F에 의해 치환될 수 있는 경우를 나타낸다.
- 제1성분으로서 제1항에 따르는 하나 이상의 프로피올로니트릴 유도체와 제2성분으로서 하나 이상의 다음 화학식(3)의 화합물을 포함하는 액정 조성물.R2-(-A5-Z6-)c-(-A6-Z7-)d-(-A7-Z8-)e-A8-(-COO-)f-R|3(3)상기 식에서, c, d, e 및 f는 각각 독립적으로 0 또는 1 이며, A5, A6 및 A7은 각각 독립적으로 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌 ; 하나 이상의 불소 원자에 의해 치환될 수 있는 1,4-페닐렌 ; 1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일 ; 또는 1,3-피리미딘-2,5-디일이고, A8은 트랜스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌, 또는 하나 또는 두개의 불소 원자에 치환될 수 있는 1,4-페닐렌이며, Z6, Z7 및 Z8은 각각 독립적으로 단일 결합, 에틸렌, 에테닐렌, 에티닐렌, 1-부텐-3-이닐렌 또는 카보닐옥시이고, R2는 쇄 내에 하나 이상의 에테르 결합(-O-)을 임의로 함유하는 탄소수 1 내지 10의 포화 또는 불포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼이며, R3은 -CN, -F, -OCF3, -OCF2H, -CF3, -CF2H, -CFH2, 또는 쇄 내에 하나 이상의 에테르 결합(-O-)을 임의로 함유하는 탄소수 1 내지 10의 포화 또는 불포화 지방족 하이드로카빌 라디칼이다.
- 제1성분으로서 제1항에 따르는 하나 이상의 프로피올로니트릴 유도체와 제2성분으로서 제29항에 따르는 하나 이상의 화학식(2)의 화합물 및 제30항에 따르는 하나 이상의 화학식(3)의 화합물을 포함하는 액정 조성물.
- 제28항 내지 제31항 중의 어느 한 항에서 정의한 바와 같은 액정 조성물로 구성된 액정 표시 소자.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
