Abstract

중심 그룹으로서 시스-1, 4-치환된 2-부테닐 그룹을 갖고 점도가 낮고 메소모르픽 (mesomorph1c) 온도 범위가 광범위한, 하기 일반식(I)로 표시되는 신규한 액정 화합물이 제공된다.
상기식에서, R1은 탄소수 1 내지 10의 알킬 그룹이고, n은 1또는 2이고, X는 수소원자, 알킬 그룹, 할로겐 원자, 시아노 그룹, 알콕시그룹, 1 내지 3개의 할로겐 원자에 의해 치완된 메틸 그룹 또는 트리할로알콕시 그룹이고, Y 및 Y'는 각각 독립적으로 수소원자 또는 할로겐 원자이다.

Claims (7)

  1. 일반식(1)의 시스-1, 4-치환된 2-부텐 유도체,
    상기식에서, R¹은 탄소수 1 내지 10의 알킬 그룹이고, n은 1 또는 2이고, X는 수소원자, 알킬 그룹, 할로겐 원자, 시아노 그룹, 알콕시그룹, 1 내지 3개의 할로겐 원자에 의해 치환된 메틸 그룹 또는 트리할로알콕시 그룹이고, Y 및 Y'는 각각 독립적으로 수소원자 또는 할로겐 원자이다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, X가 불소원자이고 Y 및 Y'는 수소원자 또는 불소원자이고 n은 1인 시스―1, 4-치환된 2―부텐 유도체.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, X가 시아노 그룹이고 Y 및 Y'는 수소 원자 또는 불소원자이고 n은 1인 시스―1, 4-치환된 2-부텐 유도체.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, X가 불소원자이고 Y 및 Y'는 수소원자또는 불소원자이고 n은2인 시스-1,4-치환된 2-부텐 유도체.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, X가 시아노 그룹이고 Y 및 Y'는 수소원자 또는 불소원자이고 n은 2인 시스―1, 4-치환된 2―부텐 유도체.
  6. 제1항에 있어서. X가 알킬 그룹인 시스-1,4-치환된 2-부텐 유도체.
  7. 둘 이상의 성분들을 포함하며 성분들 중의 하나 이상이 제1항에 명시되어 있는 바와 같은 시스-1, 4-치환된 2―부텐 유도체인 액정 조성물.
