Claims (12)

  1. 하기 일반식 (Ⅰ)로 표시되는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물
    상기식에서, R1은 각각 탄소수 1 내지 15인 직쇄 또는 측쇄의 알킬 그룹, 알콕시 그룹, 알카노일 그룹, 알카노일옥시 그룹, 알콕시카보닐 그룹 또는 알콕시카보닐옥시 그룹, 수소원자, 할로겐원자 또는 시아노 그굽이고 R2는 그의 쇄중와 골격원자가 2 내지 20개인 광학적으로 활성인 그룹이며 :
    (여기서, X는 수소원자, 할로겐원자 또는 시아노 그룹이다)를 나타내고, 1은 1 내지 10의 정수이며 : m은 0 또는 1이고 : *는 비대칭 탄소원자를 나타낸다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, R1이 각각의 탄소수가 5 내지 12인 알킬 그룹 또는 알콕시 그룹을 나타내는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, R2가 탄소수 2 내지 20의 광학적으로 활성인 모노할로겐화된 알킬 그룹을 나타내는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, R2가 알콕시 측쇄를 갖는 알킬 그룹을 나타내는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, R2가 (여기서, R4는 탄소수 1 내지 10의 직쇄 또는 측쇄의 알킬 그룹을 나타낸다)그룹을 나타내는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 1이 1 또는 2를 나타내는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 1은 1이고, m은 0을 나타내는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물.
  8. 제1항에 있어서,
    나타내는 광학적으로 활성인 화합물.
  9. 제1항에서 정의한 일반식 (Ⅰ)의 광학적으로 활성인 화합물 적어도 하나를 함유하는, 적어도 두 개의 성분으로 이루어진 키랄 액정 조성물.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 키랄 스멕틱 액정상을 나타내는 키랄 액정 조성물.
  11. 제9항에 있어서, 키랄 스메틱 액정상을 나타내는 키랄 액정 조성물.
  12. 제9항에서 기술한 바와 같은 액정 조성물을 함유하는 액정 디스플레이 소자.
