Abstract

MPEG2 기초 송신 시스템은 단일의 물리적인 채널로 다수의 디지탈 텔레비젼 프로그램을 송신한다. 여기에서는 “채널 네비게이션 시스템”이 공개되는데, 이 시스템에 의해서 사용자는 제공된 디지탈 프로그램을 개략적으로 얻을 수 있고 그리고 원하는 프로그램을 쉽게 선택할 수 있다. 본 발명의 방법은 모자이크픽처를 나타내는 비디오 스트림의 전송 (전송 스트림의 별개 프로그램에서의 전송)을 포함하고 있고, 그 서브 픽처는 상기 전송 스트림내의 다른 프로그램의 비디오 스트림의 소형 버젼이다. 상기 방법은 또한 모자이크 픽처내의 각 서브픽처의 위치와, 서브 픽처가 획득하는 프로그램 번호를 링크시키는 정보의 전송을 포함하고 있다. 사용자는 모자이크 픽처내의 소형버젼을 단지 “포인팅 및 클릭” 함으로써 원하는 프로그램을 선택한다.

Claims (17)

  1. 공동 채널에 의해 각각이 프로그램 번호를 갖는 다수의 비디오 신호을 전송하는 텔레비젼 송신기에 있어서, 다수의 서브 픽처를 포함하며 각각의 서브 픽처는 상기 다수의 비디오 신호중 하나를 나타내는 모자이크 비디오 신호를 발생시키고, 상기 관련된 비디오 신호의 프로그램 번호를 디스플레이 스크린상의 각각의 서브 픽처의 위치를 링크시키는 데이터를 발생시키며, 상기 공동 채널을 통해 상기 모자이크 비디오 신호 및 연결 데이터를 전송하도록 채용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 송신기.
  2. 각각의 신호가 각각의 비트 스트림으로 변형 코드화되는 다수의 디지털 비디오 신호를 송신하는 텔레비젼 송신기에 있어서, 각각이 상기 다수의 비디오 신호중 하나를 나타내는 다수의 서브 픽처를 포함하는 모자이크 픽처 구성 수단과, 다른 소자의 비트 스트림으로서 상기 모자이크 픽처를 인코딩하는 수단과, 상기 다른 소자의 비트 스트림을 송신하는 수단과, 모자이크 픽처내의 각각의 서브 픽처의 위치와 상기 관련된 비디오 신호를 연결시키는 데이터 전송 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 송신기.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 최소한 상기 서브 픽처 중 하나가 상기 관련된 비디오 신호에 의해 전달되는 텔레비젼 프로그램의 특성인 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 송신기.
  4. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 서브 픽처는 이후의 전송을 위해 스케줄된 각각의 프로그램의 특성이며 상기 링크 데이터는 자동으로 디스플레이하거나 또는 상기 스케줄된 프로그램을 기록하도록 상기 수신기를 프로그래밍하는 스케줄링 데이터를 포함하는것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 송신기.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 링크 데이터는 MPEG2 디스크립터를 사용하여 전송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 송신기.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 소자의 비트스트림은 DC-계수를 갖는 변형 코드화된 블록을 포함하는 자율적으로 인코드되고 전조적으로 인코드되는 화상을 포함하고 상기 모자이크 화상을 구성하는 수단은 상기 서브 픽처를 구성하도록 자율적으로 인코드된 화상의 DC- 계수를 선택하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 송신기.
  7. 제1항의 송신기로부터 신호를 수신하고 디스플레이하는 텔레비젼 수상기에 있어서, 디스플레이 스크린과, 포인팅 장치와, 상기 포인팅 장치에 의해 디스플레이되고 포인트된 서브 픽터의 상기 위치에 의해 나타내고 디스플레이하기 위해 상기 비디오 신호를 선택하도록 순응시킨 비디오 신호의 상기 프로그램 번호를 디코딩하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 송신기.
  8. 기본 비트 스트림으로 변형 코드화되는 디지털 비디오 신호를 수신하는 텔레비젼 수상기로서, 다수의 기본 비트 스트림은 트랜스포트 스트림으로 멀티플렉스되고, 상기 비트 스트림중 하나는 다수의 서브 픽처를 포함하는 모자이크 픽처를 나타내는 수상기에 잇어서, 디스플레이 스크린상에 디스플레이하기 위해 기본 비트 스트림을 수신하고 디코딩하는 수단과. 상기 모자이크 픽처의 각각의 서브 픽처의 상기 위치를 상기 관련된 비디오 신호와 링크시키는 데이터를 수신하고 디코딩하는 수단과, 디스플레이된 모자이크 픽처로부터의 서브 픽처를 선택하는, 사용자가 제어하는 포인팅 수단과, 상기 선택된 서브 픽처와 링크된 상기 비디오 신호를 확인하고 상기 비디오 신호를 나타내는 상기 기본 비트 스트림을 상기 수신 및 디코딩 수단이 수신하고 디코드하게 하도록 순응시킨 제어 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수상기.
  9. 제7항 또는 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 모자이크 신호로부터 상기 선택된 서브 픽처를 유도하는 수단과 상기 비디오 신호를 선택한 후 소정의 주기동안 상기 선택된 서브 픽처와 상기 관련된 비디오 신호를 동시에 디스플레이하는 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수상기.
  10. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 링크 데이터는 MPEG2 디스크립터의 형태로 수신되고 상기 제어수단은 상기 디스크립터의 수신을 검출하고 상기 모자이크 비디오 신호를 나타내는 상기 기본 비트 스트림을 수신 및 디스플레이하도록 순응되는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수상기.
  11. 공동 채널을 통해 다수의 비디오 신호를 송신하는 방법으로서, 각각의 비디오 신호는 프로그램 번호를 가지며, 상기 방법은 각각의 서브 픽처가 상기 다수의 비디오 신호중 하나를 나타내는 다수의 서브 픽처를 포함하는 모자이크 비디오 신호를 발생시키는 단계와, 디스플레이 스크린상의 각각의 서브 픽처의 위치와 상기 대응하는 비디오 신호의 상기 프로그램 번호를 한정하는 링크 데이터를 발생시키는 단계와, 상기 공동 채널을 통해 상기 모자이크 비디오 신호와 링크 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 비디오 신호 전송 방법.
  12. 다수의 디지털 비디오 신호를 전송하는 방법으로서, 각각의 신호가 각각의 기본 비트 스트림으로 변형 코드화되는 디지털 비디오 전송 방법에 있어서, 각각의 다수의 비디오 신호를 위한 서브 픽처를 포함하는 모자이크 픽처를 구성하는 단계와, 다른 기본 비트 스트림으로서 상기 모자이크 픽처를 인코딩하는 단계와, 상기 다른 기본 비트 스트림을 전송하는 단계와, 상기 모자이크 픽처내의 각각의 서브 픽처와 상기 관련된 비디오 신호를 링크하는 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 비디오 신호 전송방법.
  13. 제1항의 송신기로부터의 신호를 수신하고 디스플레이하는 방법에 있어서, 포인팅 장치에 의해 디스플레이되고 포인트된 서브 픽처의 상기 위치로 나타낸 비디오 신호의 상기 프로그램 번호를 디코딩하는 단계와 디스플레이하기 위해 상기 비디오 신호를 선택하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 수신 및 디스플레이 방법.

  15. 텔레비젼 신호에 있어서, 각각의 신호가 각각의 기본 비트 스트림으로 변형 코드화되는 다수의 디지털 비디오 신호와, 각각의 서브 픽처가 다수의 비디오 신호중 하나를 나타내는 다수의 서브 픽처를 포함하는 모자이크 픽처를 나타내는 다른 기본 비트 스트림과, 상기 모자이크 픽처내의 각각의 서브 픽처를 상기 관련된 비디오 신호와 링크시키는 링크 데이터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 신호.
  16. 제16항에 있어서, 상기 링크 데이터는 MPEG2 디스크립터를 사용하여 전송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 신호.
  17. 제15항 또는 제16항에 있어서, 상기 각각의 기본 비트 스트림은 DC-계수를 갖는 변형 코드화된 블록을 포함하는 자율적으로 인코드되고 전조적으로 인코드된 픽처를 포함하고, 상기 다른 기본 비트 스트림은 상기 자율적으로 인코드된 픽처의 DC계수를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 신호.
