Abstract

본 발명은 용지 또는 중합체영역, 특히 복사되거나 또는 위조될 수 있는 충분한 가치의 은행권, 여권, 신분증 또는 다른 서류를 포함하는 가치있는 서류 또는 그들의 식별수단에 관한 것인 바, 투과된 및 반사된 빛에서 관찰될 때 상이한 광학효과를 발생시키도록 상기 영역에 액정재료가 가해진다. 본 발명은 또는 상기 식별 수단 또는 가치있는 서류를 제조하는 방법 및 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류의 신빙성을 검증하는 방법에 관한 것이다.

Description

개선된 고가치 서류(IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO HIGH VALUE DOCUMENTS)

제5(b)도는 액정 재료로 채색된 비침무늬가 투과 및 반사를 나타내는 법을 도시,
제6도는 투과 및 반사된 파장들이, 신빙성을 위한 시각적 또는 기계적 검사의 수단을 제공하도록 검출될 수 있는 방법을 도시,
제7,8,9 및 9(a)도는 좌측 및 우측 편광 상태가 본 발명에 사용되는 법을 도시.

Claims (34)

  1. 용지 또는 중합체 영역을 포함하는 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류로서, 투과된 빛과 반사된 빛에서 관찰될 때 상이한 광학효과들을 발생시키도록 상기 영역에 액정(liquid crystal) 재료가 가해지는 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 용지 또는 중합체 영역은 비침무늬(watermark)를 포함하는 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 비침무늬는 재료밀도의 변화 및/또는 광학밀도의 변화를 발생시키는 두께를 지니는 식별수단 또는 서류.
  4. 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 액정재료가 비침무늬내에 또는 그위에 배치되는 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 용지 또는 중합체 영역의 최소한의 부분이 엠보싱되어, 엠보싱된 액정영역의 최소한 부분적 오버랩이 존재하는 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류.
  6. 선행항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정재료는 실온에서 액체 형태인 식별수단 또는 서류.
  7. 선행항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정재료는 용기수단내에 포위되는 식별수단 또는 서류.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 용기수단은 마이크로캡슐인 식별수단 또는 서류.
  9. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 용기수단은 박판구조인 식별수단 또는 서류.
  10. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 용기수단은 벌집구조인 식별수단 또는 서류.
  11. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 용기수단은 다수의 공간들을 포함하는 중합체 막인 식별수단 또는 서류.
  12. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 용기수단은 중공 중합체 섬유인 식별수단 또는 서류.
  13. 제1항 내지 제5항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정 재료는 실온에서 고체인 식별수단 또는 서류.
  14. 선행항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 한층의 용지 또는 중합체 영역을 포함하는 박판을 포함하는 식별수단 또는 서류.
  15. 선행항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 영역으로부터 반사된 빛의 칼라는 상기 영역을 통하여 투과된 빛의 보색으로 되는 식별수단 또는 서류.
  16. 선행항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 용지는 부분적으로 투명하거나 또는 상기 중합체는 그위에 액정이 가해진 최소한의 영역에서 투명하거나 또는 반투명한 식별수단 또는 서류.
  17. 선행항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정 영역은 좌측 및 우측 액정 형태의 영역들의 패턴을 지니는 식별수단 또는 서류.
  18. 식별수단 또는 가치있닌 서류에 용지 또는 중합체 영역을 합체시키는 단계를 포함하는 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류의 제조방법으로, 투과 및 반사시 관찰될 때 상이한 광학 효과들을 발생시키도록 상기 영역에 액정재료가 가해지는 방법.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 용지 또는 중합체 영역은 비침무늬를 포함하는 방법.
  20. 제18항 또는 제19항에 있어서, 상기 액정 재료가 용기수단내부에 포위된 액체형태로 가해지는 방법.
  21. 제20항에 있어서, 상기 액정재료가 인쇄방법에 의해 비침무늬에 가해지는 방법.
  22. 제18항 또는 제19항에 있어서, 상기 액정 재료가 고체형태로 가해지는 방법.
  23. 제22항에 있어서, 상기 액정 재료가 전사방법에 의해 비침무늬에 가해지는 방법.
  24. 제18항 내지 제23항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 용지는 부분적으로 투명하거나, 또는 상기 중합체는 그위에 액정 재료가 가해진 최소한의 영역에서 투명하거나 또는 반투명한 방법.
  25. 액정 영역으로부터 투과되고 반사된 빛을 시각적 또는 기계적으로 검사함으로써, 액정영역을 포함하는 식별수단 또는 가치있닌 서류의 신빙성을 검증하는 방법.
  26. 제25항에 있어서, 광원으로 부터의 빛은 빛이 칼라필터를 통과하는 액정영역을 통하여 투과되며, 상기 칼라필터의 스펙트럼투과 및 반사특성들은 액정영역을 통한 최대 투과된 파장에 따라 선택되며, 상기 빛은 주어진 파장에서 전체 투과된 강도를 측정하는 광검출기상에 입사되고, 액정영역으로부터 반사된 빛은 칼라필터를 통과하며, 상기 칼라필터의 스펙트럼 투과 및 반사특성들은 액정영역으로부터 반사된 최대파장에 따라 선택되며, 상기 빛은 주어진 파장에서 전체 반사된 강도를 측정하는 광검출기 상에 입사되는 방법.
  27. 제25항에 있어서, 좌측 및 우측 액정 형태의 영역들의 편광상태를 시각적 또는 기계적으로 검사함으로써 좌측 및 우측 액정형태의 영역들의 패턴을 지니는 액정영역을 포함하는 식별수단 또는 가치있는 서류의 신빙성을 검증하는 방법.
  28. 제27항에 있어서, 상기 반사된 빛의 편광 상태가 검사되는 방법.
  29. 제27항 또는 제28항에 있어서, 상기 편광상태를 검사하기 위해 4분의 1파장판 및 편광요소가 사용되는 방법.
  30. 제29항에 있어서, 상기 좌측 및 우측 액정 영역의 볼 수 있는 칼라가 투과시 동일칼라를 발생시키고, 반사시 동일 보색을 발생시키며, 상기 패턴은 육안에 보이지 않는 방법.
  31. 제29항 또는 제30항에 있어서, 상기 4분의 1파장판 및 편광 요소로 관찰된후, 상기 4분의 1파장판 및 편광요소없이 관찰될때 상기 액정영역의 대비가 변화하는 방법.
  32. 제27항 내지 제31항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 패턴은 투과된 및/또는 반사된 빛의 기계적 검사에 의해 고속으로 검증될 수 있는 방법.
