Claims (80)

  1. 촉매를 기준으로 표면적이 적어도 약 0.7㎡/g이고 공극 용적이 적어도 약 0.5㏄/g인 불활성의 내화성 고체 지지체상의 적어도 약30중량%의 함침된 은 금속 및 촉매의 효율을 증진시키기 위한 촉진량의 적어도 하나의 촉진제를 함유하는, 알켄의 증기상 에폭시화에 의한 알킬렌 옥사이드 제조용 촉매.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 촉매의 총 중량을 기준으로 함침된 은 금속의 양이 약 30 내지 약 60중량%인 촉매.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 촉매의 총 중량을 기준으로 함침된 은 금속의 양이 약 35 내지 약 45중량%인 촉매.
  4. 표면적이 적어도 약 0.7㎡/g이고 공극 용적이 적어도 약 0.5㏄/g인 불활성의 내화성 고체 지지체상의 적어도 약0.4g은/㎤ 촉매(벌크밀도)의 양의 함침된 은 금속 및 촉매의 효율을 증진시키기 위한 촉진량의 적어도 하나의 촉진제를 함유하는, 알켄의 증기상 에폭시화에 의한 알킬렌 옥사이드 제조용 촉매.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 함침된 은 금속은 양이 0.4 내지 약 2.0g은/㎤ 촉매(벌크밀도)의 범위인 촉매.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 함침된 은 금속은 양이 0.54 내지 약 0.91g은/㎤ 촉매(벌크밀도)의 범위인 촉매.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 지지체의 형태가 소형판 형태인 촉매.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 지지체가 α-알루미나인 촉매.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 지지체가 적어도 98%순도의 α-알루미나인 촉매.

  15. 제12항에 있어서, 산소를 제외한 원자번호가 7 내지 83이고 원소주기율표의 3b 내지 7b족 또는 3a 내지 7a족에서 선택되는 원소의 할라이드 및/또는 산소 음이온을 함유하는 촉매.
  16. 제15항에 있어서, 산소음이온이 설페이트를 포함하는 촉매.
  17. 제15항에 있어서, 산소음이온이 몰리브데이트를 포함하는 촉매.
  18. a)표면적이 적어도 약 0.7㎡/g이고 공극용적이 적어도 약 0.5㏄/g인 내화성 고체 지지체를 제동하고, b)지지체를 용존 은 화합물을 함유하는 1차 함침 용액으로 함침시키며, c)은 화합물을 함유하는 함침된 지지체를 함침 용액으로부터 제거하고 함침된 지지체를 은 화합물로부터 은 금속을 형성하는 조건에 노출시킨 다음, d)지지체를 추가의 용존 은 화합물을 함유하는 2차 함침 용액으로 함침시키며, e)추가의 은 화합물을 함유하는 함침 지지체를 2차 함침 용액으로부터 제거하고 함침된 지지체를 추가의 은 화합물로부터 은 금속을 형성하는 조건에 노출시킨 다음, f)필요하다면, 지지체의 총 중량을 기준으로 지지체중에 함유된 은 금속의 양이 적어도 30중량%에 도달할 때까지 단계(d)와 (e)를 반복함을 특징으로 하여, 알켄의 증기상 에폭시화에 의한 알킨렌옥사이드 제조용 촉매를 제조하는 방법.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 함침 용액이 촉매의 효율을 증진시키는 적어도 하나의 촉진제를 함유하는 방법.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 촉진제가 최종은 함침용액에만 존재하는 방법.
  21. 제20항에 있어서, 촉진제가 몰리브데이트를 포함하는 방법.
  22. 제18항에 있어서, 지지체를 은 화합물 용액 및 형성된 은 금속으로 함침시키기 전 및/또는 후에, 지지체를 촉매의 효율을 증진시키는 적어도 하의 촉진제를 함유하는 용액과 접촉시키는 방법.

  39. 알켄과 산소를 알켄, 산소 및 가스상 억제제를 함유하는 스트림이 알킬렌 옥사이드 생성 조건하에 제1항에 따른 촉매의 고정층에 공급되고 알킬렌 옥사이드가 촉매의 고정층으로부터의 유출물중에 제공되는 증기상으로 반응시킴으로써 알킬렌 옥사이드를 제조하는 방법.
  40. 제39항에 있어서, 알킬렌 옥사이드가 에틸렌 옥사이드이고 알켄이 에틸렌인 방법.
  41. 표면적이 적어도 약 0.7㎡/g이고 공극용적이 적어고 약 0.5㏄/g인 불활성의 내화성 고체 지지체상의 보다 적은 양의 은을 함유하는 유사 촉매와 비교하여 적어도 약 5°C에서 표준 에틸렌 옥사이드 생성 조건하에 측정하여 촉매의 활성을 증가시키기에 충분한 양의 합침된 은 금속 및 촉매의 효율을 증진시키기 위한 촉진량의 적어도 하나의 촉진제를 함유하는, 알켄의 증기상 에폭시화에 의한 알킬렌 옥사이드 제조용 촉매.
  42. 제41항에 있어서, 활성이 적어도 약 10°C까지 증가되는 촉매.
  43. 표면적이 적어도 약 0.7m²/g이고 공극용적이 적어도 약 0.5cc/g이며 중간 크기 공극의 직경이 약 3내지 2μ인 불활성의 내화성 고체 지지체상에 함침되며, 촉매를 기준으로 하여 적어도 25중량%의 은을 함유하는 알켄의 증기상 에폭시화에 의한 알킬렌 옥사이드 제조용 촉매.
  44. 43항에 있어서, 공극의 약 10 내지 25용적%가 0.5 내지 1μ의 공극 직경을 갖고 공극의 적어도 10용적%가 약 1 내지 10μ의 공극 직경을 가지며, 공극의 적어도 20용적%가 약 10 내지 100μ의 공극 직경을 갖는 촉매.
  45. 제44항에 있어서, 촉매의 효율을 증가시키기 위한 적어도 하나의 촉진젤을 함유하는 촉매.
  46. 제45항에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 촉진제가 양이온성 촉진제인 촉매.
  47. 제46항에 있어서, 양이온 촉진제가 칼륨, 루비듐 및 세슘중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 촉매.
  48. 제46항에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 촉진제가 음이온성 촉진제를 포함하는 촉매.

  50. 제49항에 있어서, 음이온성 촉진제가 설페이트, 플루오로설페이트, 나이트레이트, 망가네이트, 바나데이트, 크로메이트, 몰리브데이트, 텅스테이트, 레네이트 및 세레이트중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 촉매.
  51. 제50항에 있어서, 양이온성 촉진제가 알칼리 금속 및 알칼리토금속중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 촉매.
