Description
Claims (11)
- 기판 상에 게이트라인들과 데이터라인들의 교차로 마련되는 영역마다 형성되며 상기 게이트라인들 각각을 기준으로 지그재그형태로 접속된 박막트랜지스터, 상기 박막트랜지스터와 접속된 화소전극, 상기 화소전극과 수평전계를 이루는 공통전극, 상기 공통전극과 접속되며 상기 게이트라인을 따라 나란하게 형성된 공통라인을 가지는 액정패널과;상기 액정패널의 게이트라인에 스캔펄스를 공급하는 게이트 구동부와;상기 액정패널의 데이터라인에 화소전압신호를 공급하는 데이터 구동부와;상기 액정패널의 공통라인에 교류형태의 공통전압신호를 공급하는 공통구동부를 구비하며;상기 게이트 구동부 및 공통구동부는 상기 기판 상에 집적화된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 공통전압신호는 1 수직주기로 극성이 반전되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 화소전압신호는 1 수직주기와 1 수평주기로 극성이 반전되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 공통전압신호는 상기 화소전압신호와 극성이 반대인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 게이트 구동부는상기 스캔펄스를 순차적으로 발생하는 쉬프트 레지스터와;상기 스캔펄스의 스윙폭을 소정레벨로 쉬프트 시키기 위한 레벨 쉬프터와;상기 레벨 쉬프터에서 출력된 전압을 상기 게이트라인에 공급하는 버퍼를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 공통구동부는상기 제1 공통전압신호를 순차적으로 발생하는 제1 쉬프트 레지스터와,상기 제2 공통전압신호를 순차적으로 발생하는 제2 쉬프트 레지스터와;상기 제1 및 제2 공통전압신호의 스윙폭을 소정레벨로 쉬프트 시키기 위한 레벨 쉬프터와;상기 레벨 쉬프터에서 출력된 전압을 상기 공통라인에 공급하는 버퍼를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 게이트 구동부 및 공통 구동부는 상기 기판의 동일 일측에 집적화된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 기판의 다른 일측에 집적화된 제2 게이트구동부 및 제2 공통 구동부를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 게이트 구동부 및 공통 구동부는 상기 기판의 서로 다른 일측에 집적화된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터구동부는 상기 기판 상에 집적화된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 기판 상에 게이트라인들과 데이터라인들의 교차로 마련되는 영역마다 형성되며 상기 게이트라인들 각각을 기준으로 지그재그형태로 접속된 박막트랜지스터, 상기 박막트랜지스터와 접속된 화소전극, 상기 화소전극과 수평전계를 이루는 공통전극, 상기 공통전극과 접속되며 상기 게이트라인을 따라 나란하게 형성된 공통라인을 가지는 액정패널, 상기 액정패널의 기판 상에 집적화되며 상기 상기 공통라인 및 게이트라인을 각각 구동하는 공통구동부 및 게이트구동부를 구비한 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 게이트라인에 스캔펄스를 공급하는 단계와;상기 데이터라인에 화소전압신호를 공급하는 단계와;상기 액정패널의 공통라인에 교류형태의 공통전압신호를 공급하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
