Claims (8)
- 전자사진 프로세스(electrophotographic process)에 따라 복수의 컬러 토너를 사용하여 컬러 화상을 형성하는 화상 형성 장치로서,상기 복수의 컬러 토너 각각의 토너 소비량을 검출하기 위한 토너 소비량 검출 수단;상기 복수의 컬러 토너 각각의 상기 검출된 토너 소비량에 기초하여, 패치를 형성할 컬러 토너를 결정하기 위한 결정 수단;상기 결정된 컬러 토너를 사용하여, 입력된 화상 데이터에 따라 컬러 화상을 형성하는 영역의 외부에 상기 패치를 형성하기 위한 형성 수단;상기 형성된 패치의 농도(density)를 검출하기 위한 패치 농도 검출 수단; 및상기 형성된 패치의 상기 검출된 농도에 기초하여, 기록 농도(printing density)를 조정하기 위한 조정 수단을 포함하고,상기 결정 수단은 상기 토너 소비량 검출 수단에 의해 검출된 토너 소비량이 그외의 것들보다 큰 컬러 토너를 상기 패치를 형성하기 위한 컬러 토너로서 결정하는 화상 형성 장치.

- 제1항에 있어서,상기 토너 소비량 검출 수단은 상기 입력된 화상 데이터에 기초하여 상기 토너 소비량을 검출하는 화상 형성 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 토너 소비량 검출 수단은 상기 입력된 화상 데이터에 의해 표시되는 입력 화상의 크기에 기초하여 상기 토너 소비량을 검출하는 화상 형성 장치.

- 제1항에 있어서,상기 형성 수단은 상 담지체(image carrier) 위에 형성된 컬러 화상들 사이의 영역에 상기 패치를 형성하는 화상 형성 장치.
- 전자사진 프로세스에 따라 복수의 컬러 토너를 사용하여 컬러 화상을 형성하는 화상 형성 방법으로서,상기 복수의 컬러 토너 각각의 토너 소비량을 검출하기 위한 토너 소비량 검출 단계;상기 복수의 컬러 토너 각각의 상기 검출된 토너 소비량에 기초하여, 패치를 형성할 컬러 토너를 결정하기 위한 결정 단계;상기 결정된 컬러 토너를 사용하여, 입력된 화상 데이터에 따라 컬러 화상을 형성하는 영역의 외부에 상기 패치를 형성하기 위한 형성 단계;상기 형성된 패치의 농도(density)를 검출하기 위한 패치 농도 검출 단계; 및상기 형성된 패치의 상기 검출된 농도에 기초하여, 기록 농도(printing density)를 조정하기 위한 조정 단계를 포함하고,상기 결정 단계에서, 상기 토너 소비량 검출 단계에서 검출된 토너 소비량이 그외의 것들보다 큰 컬러 토너가 상기 패치를 형성하기 위한 컬러 토너로서 결정되는 화상 형성 방법.
