Description
Claims (6)
- 상 담지체(image carrier) 위에 정전 잠상(electrostatic latent image)을 형성하고, 복수의 색의 토너들을 사용하여 상기 화상을 현상하고, 전자사진 프로세스(electrophotographic process)에 따라 토너 상(toner image)을 기록 매체 위에 전사하는 화상 형성 장치로서,상기 복수의 색의 상기 토너들 각각의 토너 소비량을 검출하기 위한 토너 소비량 검출 수단;각각의 색의 상기 검출된 토너 소비량에 기초하여, 교정될 색을 결정하기 위한 결정 수단;상기 상 담지체 위의 미리 결정된 위치에 패치를 생성하여, 상기 결정된 색의 패치의 농도(density)를 검출하기 위한 패치 농도 검출 수단; 및상기 검출된 패치 농도에 기초하여, 상기 결정 수단에 의해 결정된 색의 기록 농도(printing density)를 조정하기 위한 조정 수단을 포함하는 화상 형성 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 미리 결정된 위치는 기록될 화상에 기초하여 상기 정전 잠상의 형성 영역의 외부에 존재하고, 외부에서 입력되는 것인 화상 형성 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 토너 소비량 검출 수단은 입력된 화상의 농도에 기초하여 상기 토너 소비량을 검출하는 화상 형성 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 토너 소비량 검출 수단은 입력된 화상의 크기에 기초하여 상기 토너 소비량을 검출하는 화상 형성 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 결정 수단은 상이한 계조(tone)들을 갖는 복수의 색을 교정될 색으로서 결정하는 화상 형성 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 결정 수단은, 검출된 토너 소비량이 임계값보다 크다고 판정된 상기 토너의 색을 교정될 색으로서 결정하고, 상기 검출된 토너 소비량이 상기 임계값 이하로 판정된 상기 토너의 색을 교정되지 않을 색으로서 결정하는 화상 형성 장치.
