Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- 데이터 송신기, 저장영역을 갖는 데이터 표시장치, 및 상기 데이터 송신기와 상기 데이터 표시장치를 연결하는 네트워크를 구비하는 통신장치를 구동하는 방법에 있어서,상기 데이터 송신기가 제 1 부호화율로 부호화된 복수의 제 1 데이터 패킷을 상기 제 1 부호화율보다 더 빠른 전송율로 상기 데이터 표시장치로 전송하는 단계,상기 데이터 표시장치가, 상기 복수의 제 1 데이터 패킷을 상기 저장영역으로 수신하고, 제 1 레벨의 품질로 사용자에게 표시되도록 복호화하기 위해, 상기 저장영역에 데이터 패킷들이 처음 도달할 때부터 개시하여 상기 저장영역으로부터 상기 데이터 패킷을 제 1 부호화율로 제거하고, 상기 저장영역의 데이터 패킷의 양을 감시하고, 상기 저장영역이 미리 정해진 레벨까지 상기 데이터 패킷으로 채워지면 상기 미리 정해진 레벨까지 채워졌음을 표시하는 표시자를 상기 데이터 송신기에 전송하는 단계;상기 데이터 송신기가, 상기 데이터 표시장치로부터의 상기 표시자의 수신시에, 제 1 부호화율보다 더 높은 제 2 부호화율로 부호화된 복수의 제 2 데이터 패킷을 제 2 부호화율과 동일한 전송율로 상기 데이터 표시장치로 전송하는 단계; 및상기 데이터 표시장치가, 상기 복수의 제 2 데이터 패킷을 상기 저장영역으로 수신하고, 상기 제 1 레벨의 품질보다 더 높은 품질인 제 2 레벨의 품질로 상기 사용자에게 표시되도록 복호화하기 위해, 상기 제 2 부호화율로 상기 저장영역으로부터 제 2 데이터 패킷을 제거하는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신장치 구동 방법.
- 저장영역을 가지는 데이터 표시장치 상에 데이터를 표시하는 방법에 있어서,상기 데이터 표시장치에서 데이터를 수신하고, 상기 데이터를 기록 속도로 상기 저장영역으로 기록하는 단계,표시를 위해, 상기 기록 속도보다 느린 판독 속도로 상기 데이터를 상기 저장영역에서 판독하는 단계,상기 데이터를 표시하는 단계, 및상기 저장영역 내의 데이터의 양을 모니터링하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 데이터가 상기 저장영역에 처음 기록되는 때에 상기 저장영역으로부터 상기 데이터의 판독이 개시되고,상기 수신되는 데이터의 부호화율은 상기 저장영역 내의 데이터 양에 따라 결정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이터 표시 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,제 1 부호화율로 부호화된 데이터는 상기 저장영역 내의 데이터 양이 미리 정해진 문턱값에 도달할 때까지 수신되고, 그 후에 제 2 부호화율로 부호화된 데이터가 수신되고, 상기 제 1 부호화율은 상기 제 2 부호화율보다 더 낮은 것을 특징으로 하는 데이터 표시 방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 부호화율로 부호화된 데이터는 상기 저장영역 내의 데이터 양이 미리 정해진 문턱값에 도달할 때까지 수신되고, 그 후에 상기 제 1 부호화율로 부호화된 데이터가 수신되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이터 표시 방법.
- 제 2 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 기록 속도는 상기 저장영역 내의 데이터 양에 따라 결정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이터 표시 방법.
- 이용자에게 데이터를 표시하는 장치에 있어서,수신된 데이터를 저장하는 저장 수단,기록 속도로 상기 데이터를 상기 저장 수단으로 기록하는 기록 수단,상기 기록 속도보다 느린 판독 속도로 상기 데이터를 상기 저장 수단으로부터 판독하고 상기 데이터를 이용자에게 표시하는 판독 수단, 및상기 저장수단에 저장된 데이터 양을 모니터링하는 모니터링 수단을 추가로 포함하고,상기 판독 수단은 상기 데이터가 상기 저장 수단에 처음 기록되는 때에 상기 저장 수단으로부터 상기 데이터를 판독하고,상기 수신되는 데이터의 부호화율은 상기 저장영역 내의 데이터 양에 따라 결정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이터 표시 장치.
- 부호화된 데이터를 클라이언트로 공급하는 장치에 있어서,같은 소스로부터 각각 상이한 부호화율로 부호화된 데이터를 포함하는 복수의 데이터 스트림을 수신하는 수신수단,일정한 시간 동안 부호화된 데이터의 각 스트림을 저장하는 복수의 저장 수단,상기 클라이언트의 저장 수단에 저장된 부호화된 데이터의 양을 표시하는 표시자를 상기 클라이언트로부터 수신하는 클라이언트 피드백 수신장치, 및상기 클라이언트의 저장 수단에 저장된 부호화된 데이터 양에 따라, 상기 복수의 저장 수단 중 어느 것이 상기 클라이언트로 부호화된 데이터를 공급하는데 사용될 것인지를 제어하는 제어 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이터 공급장치.
- 부호화된 데이터를 클라이언트로 공급하는 방법에 있어서,같은 소스로부터 각각 상이한 부호화율로 부호화된 데이터를 포함하는 복수의 데이터 스트림을 수신하는 단계,복수의 데이터 스트림을 복수의 저장 수단에 저장하는 단계,상기 클라이언트의 저장 수단에 저장된 부호화된 데이터의 양을 표시하는 표시자를 상기 클라이언트로부터 수신하는 단계, 및상기 클라이언트의 저장 수단에 저장된 부호화된 데이터 양에 따라, 상기 복수의 저장 수단 중 하나로부터 상기 클라이언트로 부호화된 데이터를 공급하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이터 공급방법.
