Description
Claims (12)
- 복수의 주사선과 복수의 데이터선의 복수의 교차부에 대응하여, 각각이 스위칭 트랜지스터, 유지 소자, 구동 트랜지스터 및 전기 광학 소자를 포함하는 복수의 화소 회로를 구비한 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법으로서,상기 복수의 화소 회로의 각각에 상기 복수의 주사선 중 하나의 주사선을 통하여 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온 상태로 하는 주사 신호를 공급하는 동시에, 상기 복수의 데이터선 중 하나의 데이터선 및 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 통하여 상기 유지 소자에 데이터 신호를 공급하고, 상기 유지 소자에 상기 데이터 신호에 상응한 전하량을 축적하고, 상기 전하량에 따라 상기 구동 트랜지스터를 제 1 도통 상태로 설정하는 제 1 단계와,상기 제 1 도통 상태에 따른 전압 레벨 또는 전류 레벨을 갖는 구동 전압 또는 구동 전류를 상기 전기 광학 소자에 공급하는 제 2 단계와,상기 하나의 주사선을 통하여 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온 상태로 하는 주사 신호를 공급하는 동시에, 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 통하여 상기 유지 소자에 전압 신호를 공급함으로써 상기 구동 트랜지스터를 제 2 도통 상태로 설정하는 제 3 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 도통 상태는 상기 제 1 도통 상태보다 낮은 도통 상태인 것을 특 징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 도통 상태는 비도통 상태인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 3 단계는 상기 제 1 단계를 행하기 전에 행해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전압 신호는 상기 하나의 데이터선 및 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 통하여 상기 유지 소자에 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터 신호는 상기 전기 광학 소자의 계조 레벨에 대응하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터 신호는 다치(多値)인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구 동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터 신호는 데이터 전류인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 단계, 상기 제 2 단계 및 상기 제 3 단계는 1 프레임 내에서 행해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전기 광학 소자는 발광 소자이고, 상기 제 3 단계에서 상기 발광 소자는 비발광 상태로 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 기재된 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법에 의해 구동되는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 11 항에 기재된 전기 광학 장치를 구비한 전자 기기.
