Abstract
본 발명은 전기융착연결구에 관한 것으로써, 특히 합성수지 파이프 등을 접합하는데 이용되는 전기융착연결구에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 전기융착연결구는 본체를 포함하고 본체의 접합면 근처에는 소정의 퀴리온도를 갖는 자성합금체를 포함하는 히터가 그 표면이 접합면에 노출하도록 설치된다.
본체의 접합면과 피접합부재의 접합면을 접촉시켜서 자성합금체에 전자유도에 의하여 고주파 전류를 주면 자성합금체는 발열하고 그 자기 온도 조정기능에 의하여 자성합금체의 온도는 소정의 퀴리온도로 지켜진다.
따라서 퀴리온도를 융착온도로 설정하면 본체 및 피접합부재의 접합면이 융착되는 것을 특징으로 하고 있다.

전기융착연결구
[기술분야]
본 발명은 전기융착연결구에 관한 것으로써 특히 합성수지 파이프 등을 접합하는데 이용되는 전기융착연결구에 관한 것이다.
[종래기술]
폴리에틸렌과 폴리부텐 등의 합성수지 재료로 이루어지는 파이프의 접합에 이용되는 종래의 전기융착연결구의 한예가 미합중국특허 제 4,117,311호(1978년 9월 26일)와 미합중국 특허 제 4,486,650호(1984년 12월 4일)에 개시되어 있다.
종래의 전기융착연결구(1)는 제15도에 도시된 바와 같이 합성수지로 이루어지는 대략 중공원통 형상의 본체(2)를 포함한다.
본체(2) 내부에는 전열선(3)이 매립되어 있고 전열선(3)의 양단부에는 본체(2)에서 돌출하여 형성된 단자(4)가 접속되어 있다.
이와 같은 종래의 전기융착연결구(1)에서는 전열선(3)의 양단부에 단자(4)를 형성할 필요가 있으며 그 제조가 곤란하다는 문제점이 있었다.
또 전열선(3)에서 가열하도록 하고 있기 때문에 온도 제어가 어려워서 온도 불균일이 발생하기 쉽다는 문제점이 있었다.
[발명의 개요]
이와같은 이유로 본 발명의 주요 목적은 새로운 전기융착연결구를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 간단히 제조할 수 있는 전기융착연결구를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 또다른 목적은 온도불균일을 발생시키지 않는 전기융착연결구를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 또 다른 목적은 히터로써 자성합금체를 이용한 전기융착 연결구를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 전기융착연결구는 제1용융온도를 가지는 제1합성수지로 이루어지는 피접합부재를 접합하는 것이며 다음의 것을 구비한다.
제2용융온도를 가지는 제2합성수지로 이루어지는 동시에 피접합부재의 제1접합면과 실질적으로 같은 만곡면을 형성하는 제2접합면을 갖는 본체 및 그 표면의 적어도 일부가 제2접합면에 노출하도록 본체에 설치되는 동시에 제1 및 제2용융온도와 동등하거나 그보다 높은 퀴리온도를 갖는 자성합금체를 포함하는 히터, 강기 자성합금체는 본체의 제2접합면 근처에 히터가, 예를들어 매립되고 그 히터표면은 제2접합면에서 노출된다.
히터를 구성하는 자성합금체의 퀴리온도는 제1 및 제2합성수지의 용융온도보다 약간 높은 최적온도로 설정된다.
그리고 본체의 제2접합면이 히터 접합부재의 한쪽 접합면에 따르도록 양자가 고정된다.
그 상태에서 히터를 구성하는 자성합금체에 전자유도에 의하여 고주파 전류를 주면 표피효과(skin effect)에 의하여 자성합금체가 발열하여 자성합금체와 동시에 히터의 온도가 따라서 상승한다.
그후 히터의 온도가 퀴리온도에 달하면 자성합금체의 투자율이 급격히 작아져서 전류는 거의 흐르지 않게 되고 자성합금체, 즉 히터의 온도는 그 이상 상승하지 않는다.
그리고 열전도에 의하여 히터의 온도가 저하하면 자성합금체의 투자율이 증대하여 자성합금체에는 다시 전류가 흐른다.
이와 같은 동작이 반복되기 때문에 자성합금체, 즉 히터의 온도는 퀴리온도에서 실질적으로 일정하게 지켜진다.
따라서 제1 및 제2 접합면은 자성합금체의 퀴리온도, 또는 그 근처, 즉 최적 온도에서 가열되고 피접합부재 및 본체의 제1 및 제2 접합면 및 그 주위가 용융하여 접합부재 및 본체가 융착된다.
본 발명에 따르면 본체에는 자성합금체를 포함하는 히터를 설치하는 것만으로 종래의 것과 같은 통전단자를 형성할 필요가 없기 때문에 전기융착 연결구의 구조가 간단해지고, 따라서 간단히 전기융착연결구를 제조할 수 있다.
또한 자성합금체의 퀴리온도를 이용하여 히터의 온도가 대략 일정하게 제어되기 때문에 제1 및 제2접합면 전체에 걸쳐서 일정온도에서 불균일 없이 가열 할 수 있다.
그리고 자성합금체인 동시에 따라서 히터 표면이 제2접합면에 노출하도록 본체에 설치되면 그 히터에 의하여 본체의 제2접합면 뿐만 아니라 피접합부재의 제1접합면도 직접 가열할 수 있기 때문에 보다 단시간내에 양자가 용융되고 접합될 수 있다.
또한 표면이 노출하지 않도록 히터가 본체에 완전히 매립된 경우 히터와 피접합부재의 제1접합면 사이에 본체의 제2합성수지가 개재하기 때문에 히터를 끼우는 본체의 양측에서의 접합강도가 불충분했다.
한편 표면이 제2접합면에 노출하는 히터가 본체에 매립된 경우 히터와 피접합부재의 제1접합면 사이에 본체의 제2합성수지가 개재하는 일 없이 본체와 피접합부재가 직접 히터를 끼우기 때문에 매우 커다란 접합강도를 얻을 수 있다.
바람직한 실시예에서는 히터를 구성하는 자성 합금체는 플레이트(평판, 파형판 등), 펀칭메탈, 메쉬(mesh), 코일, 링 또는 박막의 형태로 본체에 편입된다.
다만 이와같은 자성합금체는 그 속에 자성체 분말이 혼합된 합성수지층으로써 구성되어도 좋다.
이 경우 합성수지층의 합성수지는 제2합성수지로 좋다.

본체(12)의 중공부는 후술하는 파이프(14)를 받아들이는 수납구(16)로써 작용한다.
수납구(16)의 내표면, 즉 접합면(제2접합면) 근처에는 대략 원통형상의 자성합금체(18)가 매립된다.
이 자성합금체(18)는 히터로써 작용하고 소정의 퀴리온도를 갖는다.
이와같은 자성합금체(18)로써는, 예를들어 미합중국 특허 제 4,256,945호(1981년 3월 17일)에 개시되어 있는 바와같은 자성합금체가 이용될 수 있기 때문에 여기에서는 그것을 인용함에 따라 채택하여 그 상세한 설명은 생략한다.
또한 자성합금체(18)의 퀴리온도는 그 합금의 각 구성성분의 배합비율 등을 변화시킴에 따라 조정할 수 있다.
그리고 퀴리온도는 접합의 최적온도로 설정된다.
또한 이 최적온도는 접속 해야하는 파이프(14)에 이용되는 제1합성수지와 본체(12)에 이용되는 제2합성수지의 종류에 따라서 다른 것은 물론이다.
제2도를 참조하여 접합시에는 이 전기융착연결구(10) 좌우의 수납구(16)에 , 예를들어 폴리에틸렌과 폴리부텐 등의 합성수지로 이루어지는 파이프(14)를 삽입하고 다음으로 고주파 전원(20)을 이용하여 연결구(10) 내부에 매립된 자성합금체(18)에 전자유도에 의하여 고주파 전류를 준다.
그렇게 하면 자성합금체(18)는 표피효과에 의해서 그 표피부분에만 전류가 집중하여 급격히 발열한다.
그리고 자성합금체(18)의 온도가 상승하여 퀴리온도에 달하면 그 투자율이 급격히 저하하여 표피전류는 흐르지 않게 되고 자성합금체(18)의 발열이 매우 작아진다.
자성합금체(18)의 열이 본체(12)와 파이프(14)에 전해져서 자성합금체(18)의 온도가 저하하면 자성합금체(18)는 다시 표피전류에 의하여 발열한다.
따라서 자성합금체(18), 즉 히터는 퀴리온도, 또는 그 근처의 대략 일정온도, 즉 상기한 최적온도를 유지한다.
이와같이 해서 본체(12) 및 파이프(14)의 접합면 및 그들 근처의 합성수지가 용융하여 양자는 융착된다.
또한 고주파 전원으로써는, 예를들어 미합중국 특허제 4,769,519호(1988년 9월 6일)에 개시되어 있는 바와같은 고주파 전원이 이용 가능하다.
따라서 여기에서는 그것을 인용에 의하여 받아들이고 상세한 설명은 생략한다.
본 실시예에 따르면 전자유도에 의하여 자성합금체(18)에 고주파전류를 주도록 하고 있기 때문에 통전용의 단자를 형성할 필요는 없이 전기융착연결구(10)를 간단히 제조할 수 있다.
또한 히터로써는 제1도 실시예의 것에 한정되지 않고, 예를 들어 제3도~제11도에 도시된 것이 이용되어도 좋다.
제3도에 도시된 실시예에서는 제1도 실시예에 있어서의 좌우 자성합금체(18)를 연결부(24)에 의하여 연결한 히터(11)가 이용된다.
또한 연결부(24)는 본체(12), 중앙부(22)가 용융하는 것을 가급적 방지하기 위해 제3도에 있어서 파선으로 도시된 바와 같이 본체(12)의 둘레방향의 일부에 형성된다.
이와같은 연결부(24)에서 2가지의 자성합금체(18)를 연결함에 따라 2가지의 자성합금체(18)의 본체(12)의 직경방향 위치가 어긋나지 않기 때문에 융착이 보다 확실히 실시될 수 있다.
제4도에 도시된 히터(13)는 원통형상(또는 판형상)의 자성합금체(28)를 포함하고 이 자성합금체(28)의 외표면(또는 내표면)상에는 둘레방향으로 연장되는 복수의 나사산(26)이 형성된다.
이 나사산(26)은 2가지의 기능, 즉 자성합금체(28)와 본체(12)사이의 박리방지기능 및 방열면적의 확대기능을 갖는다.
제5도에 도시된 히터(15)는 파형판에 의하여 형성된 원통형상(또는 판형상)의 자성합금체(30)를 포함한다.
이와같이 자상합금체(30)가 파형판으로 구성되는 이유도 제4도 실시예와 똑같다.
제6도에 도시된 실시예에서는 펀칭메탈로써 형성된 자성합금체(34)에 의하여 히터(17)가 구성된다.
즉 자성합금체(34)의 측면에는 복수의 관통구멍(32)이 형성된다.
이 관통구멍(32)은 히터(17), 즉 자성합금체(34)와 본체(12) 사이의 박리를 방지하는 것에 유효하다.
즉 관통구멍(32)을 통하여 본체(12)의 합성수지가 자성합금체(34)를 끌어넣기 때문에 양자 사이의 박리를 방지할 수 있다.
제6도에 도시된 펀칭 메탈에서는 충분한 개구율을 얻을 수 없는 경우 제7도에 도시된 그물형상의 자성합금체(36)를 이용하면 보다 커다란 개구율이 얻어지고, 따라서 그 개구를 통하여 본체(12)의 합성수지의 돌아들어감이 조장되어 메쉬자성합금체(36)와 본체 사이의 박리가 한층 방지될 수 있다.
제8도에 도시된 바와같이 코일형상의 자상합금체(38)로 이루어지는 히터(21)를 이용해도 제7도 실시예와 똑같은 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
또한 제6도∼제8도에 도시된 실시예에서는 자성합금의 양을 절약할 수 있다는 잇점도 있다.
상기의 제1도∼제8도에 도시된 각 실시예에서는 자성합금체를 본체속에 몰드하도록 하여 본체를 사출성형해서 전기융착연결구(10)를 얻었다.
그러나 자성합금체의 형태는 또한 다음과 같이 변형되어도 좋다.
제9도에 도시된 실시예에서는 히터(23), 즉 자성합금체를 자성합금층으로써 형성한다.
즉 본 실시예에서는 본체(12)의 접합면 근처에 자성합금층을 형성하고 그 자성합금층은 본체(12)의 합성수지속에 혼합된 소정의 퀴리온도를 갖는 자성 합금분말(40)을 포함한다.
이와같이 자성합금체를 자성합금층에 의하여 구성하도록 하면 전기응착연결구(10)를 또한 용이하게 제조할 수 있을뿐만 아니라 자성합금체(층)와 본체(12)사이의 박리의 문제에서 개방된다.
제10도에 도시된 히터(25)는 본체(12)의 접합면에 코팅되는 자성합금박막(42)을 포함한다.
이와같이 자성합금박막(42)에 의하여 히터(25)를 구성하도록 하면 히터(25) 표면이 본체(12) 접합면에 노출하게 된다.
히터(25) 표면이 제2접합면에 노출하는 본 실시예에 따르면 히터(25)에 의하여 본체(12)만이 아니고 피접합부재, 즉 파이프(14)(제1도)도 직접 가열할 수 있기 때문에 보다 단시간내에 2가지의 접합면을 융착할 수 있다.
또한 본 실시예에 따르면 자성합금체(42)가 본체(12)와 파이프(14)(제1도)에 의하여 직접 끼워지기 때문에 접합강도의 향상을 더욱 기대할 수 있다.
또한 제11도 실시예와 같이 히터(27)로써의 자성합금박막(29)이 본체(12) 접합면에 형성되는 홈의 내부에 코팅되어도 좋다.
또한 히터, 즉 자성합금체(층)를 본체(12) 접합면에 노출시키는 생각은 앞의 제1도 및 제3도∼제9도에 도시된 각각의 실시예에 대해서도 똑같이 적용할 수 있는 것은 용이하게 이해될 것이다.
또한 본 발명은 제12도에 도시된 바와같은 2가지 분할소켓(44), 제13a도 및 제13b도에 도시된 바와같은 새들(saddle)(31), 또는 제14도에 도시된 바와같은 엘보우(33)와 그외 도시하지 않은 치이즈(cheese), 리듀서(reducer)등 온갖 배관부재의 접합에 적용할 수 있다.
제12도에 도시된 2가지 분할소켓(44)은 윗커버(46) 및 아래커버(48)로 이루어지고 각각의 내표면 근처에는 제9도 실시예와 똑같이 자성합금분말(40)이 이겨서 넣어져 있다.
접합시에는 접합하는 2가지의 파이프(50)의 단면끼리를 맞대어 맞댐부(52)가 한가운데 위치하도록 해서 2가지 분할소켓(44)의 상하 양커버에서 파이프(50)를 끼운다.
그리고 도시하지 않은 클램프 공구로 상하양 커버를 고정하고 자성합금분말(40)에 고주파 전류를 준다.
그렇게 하면 앞의 실시예와 똑같이 하여 자성합금분말(40)은 발열하고 2가지 분할소켓(44)의 상하양 커버가 융착되고 동시에 파이프(50)가 접합된다.
이 2가지 분할소켓(44)을 이용하면 연결구의 수납구에 파이프(50)를 삽입하는 수고를 덜 수 있기 때문에 시공성을 향상할 수 있고, 특히 중량이 커지는 큰 구멍 직경 파이프의 접합에 유효하다.
또한 본 실시예에 있어서도 앞의 제1도, 제3도∼제8도 및 제10도∼제11도에 도시된 어느쪽인가의 실시예의 히터가 이용될 수 있다.
제13a도 및 제13b도에 도시된 새들(31)은 좌부(35)를 포함하고 좌부(35)의 내표면, 즉 접합면 근처에는 제13a도 및 제13b도에 도시된 위치, 또는 제13b도중 2점 쇄선으로 도시된 위치에 앞의 어느쪽인가의 실시예에 따라서 히터(37)가 형성된다.
그리고 좌부(35) 중앙부에는 분기관(39)이 형성된다.
본 실시예에서도 유도 고주파전류에 의하여 히터(37)에 발열시킬 수 있다.
제14도에 도시된 엘보우(33)는 본체(41)를 포함하고 수납구(43)의 내표면 근처에는 앞의 어느쪽인가의 실시예에 따라서 히터(45)가 형성된다.
본 실시예에서도 우도고주파 전류에 의하여 히터(45)로 발열시킬 수 있다.
또한 제12도에 도시된 실시예, 또는 제13a도 및 제13b도에 도시된 실시예, 또는 제14도에 도시된 실시예에 있어서도 히터를 본체의 접합면에 노출시킬 수 있는 것은 말할 것도 없다.
본 발명이 상세하게 설명되어 도시되었지만 그것은 단순한 도해 및 한 예로써 이용한 것이며 한정적이라고 해석되어야 하는 것이 아닌 것은 확실하며 본 발명의 사상 및 범위는 첨부된 특허청구범위에 의해서만 한정된다.
Claims (12)
- 제2용융온도를 갖는 제2합성수지로 이루어지는 동시에 피접합부재의 제1접합면과 실질적으로 같은 만곡면을 형성하는 제2접합면을 갖는 본체와 그 표면의 일부가 상기 제2접합면에 노출하도록 상기 본체에 설치되는 동시에 제1 및 제2용융온도와 동등하거나 그 보다 높은 퀴리온도를 갖는 자성합금체를 포함하는 히터를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제1용융온도를 갖는 제1합성수지로 이루어지는 동시에 제1접합면을 갖는 피접합부재를 접합하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 히터는 판형상 자성합금체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 히터는 자성합금으로 이루어지는 펀칭메탈을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 정기융착연결구
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 히터는 그물형상의 자성합금체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 히터는 코일형상의 자성합금체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 히터는 자성합금박막을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 히터는 자성합금분말이 혼합된 합성수지층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 본체는 2가지 이상의 수납구를 갖고 상기 히터는 수납구의 각각에 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 각 히터는 서로 연결하는 연결부를 구비하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항 내지 제9항에 있어서, 상기 본체는 각각이 내면에 상기 제2접합면을 갖는 동시에 반원통형상으로 형성되는 제1 본체부분 및 제2 본체부분을 포함하고 상기 제1본체부분 및 상기 제2본체부분은 협동하여 하나의 소켓을 구성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제1항 내지 제9항에 있어서, 상기 본체는 내면에 상기 제2접합면이 형성된 좌부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기융착연결구
- 제2용융온도를 갖는 제2합성수지로 이루어지는 동시에 제1접합면에서 접촉되는 제2접합면을 갖는 본체와 상기 본체의 상기 제2접합면 근처에 이겨서 넣어지는 제1 및 제2용융온도와 동등하거나 그 보다 높은 퀴리온도를 갖는 자성합금분말을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제1용융온도 를 갖는 제1합성수지로 이루어지는 동시에 제1접합면을 갖는 피접합부재를 접합하는 전기융착연결구
