Claims (12)
- 表面を貫通する第1貫通孔が形成された第1基板と、
前記第1基板に対向配置され、前記第1貫通孔に対向して前記第1貫通孔より広い面積で表面を貫通する第2貫通孔が形成された第2基板と、
前記第1及び第2基板の周囲に枠状に形成されて前記第1及び第2基板を固着するシール剤と、
前記第1及び第2基板間に挟持された液晶と、
前記第1及び第2貫通孔から前記液晶が漏れないように前記第1及び第2貫通孔を封止する封止剤と
を有することを特徴とする液晶表示素子。 - 請求項1記載の液晶表示素子において、
前記封止剤は、前記第2基板との封止領域の面積より前記第1基板との封止領域の面積の方が広いこと
を特徴とする液晶表示素子。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の液晶表示素子において、
前記封止剤は、前記第1及び第2基板間に回り込んで前記第1及び第2貫通孔を塞いでいること
を特徴とする液晶表示素子。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示素子において、
前記第1貫通孔の中心軸は、前記第2貫通孔の中心軸にほぼ一致していること
を特徴とする液晶表示素子。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示素子において、
前記第1及び第2貫通孔は、前記第1及び第2基板の基板面法線方向に見て、曲線状の開口形状を有すること
を特徴とする液晶表示素子。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示素子において、
前記第1及び第2貫通孔は、前記第1及び第2基板の外周囲近傍に配置されていること
を特徴とする液晶表示素子。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示素子において、
前記液晶は、可視域に選択反射光波長を有するコレステリック液晶であること
を特徴とする液晶表示素子。 - 対向配置された第1及び第2基板間に液晶を挟持した液晶表示素子を複数積層した積層型液晶表示素子において、
前記液晶表示素子は、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示素子であること
を特徴とする積層型液晶表示素子。 - 請求項8記載の積層型液晶表示素子において、
両側に配置された前記液晶表示素子は、前記1貫通孔を外側に向けて配置されていること
を特徴とする積層型液晶表示素子。 - 請求項8又は9に記載の積層型液晶表示素子において、
積層された複数の前記液晶表示素子にそれぞれ形成された前記第1及び第2貫通孔は、前記第1及び第2基板の基板面法線方向に見て、互いに重なる位置に配置されていること
を特徴とする積層型液晶表示素子。 - 請求項8又は9に記載の積層型液晶表示素子において、
積層された複数の前記液晶表示素子にそれぞれ形成された前記第1及び第2貫通孔は、前記第1及び第2基板の基板面法線方向に見て、互いに重ならない位置に配置されていること
を特徴とする積層型液晶表示素子。 - 請求項8乃至11のいずれか1項に記載の積層型液晶表示素子において、
前記液晶は、可視域に選択反射光波長を有するコレステリック液晶であり、
複数の前記液晶表示素子は、前記選択反射光波長が互いに異なること
を特徴とする積層型液晶表示素子。
