Abstract
Description
(イ)蚊の卵は非常に小さく、容器内部の水ぎわに親蚊が産卵したのか否かを目視にて判断する事は極めて困難であるため、水を廃棄するタイミングがつかいみにくい。
(ロ)定期的に人間が水を廃棄・補充するにしても手間がかかり、また仮に廃棄するのを忘れてしまった場合には、駆除とは逆に繁殖に適した環境を提供する可能性がある。
(ハ)ボウフラを捕獲するための容器は屋外に設置して使用する関係上、各種異物の侵入や沈殿、あるいは水生生物の繁殖は避けられず、(特許文献1)のごとく凹凸の誘導筒を嵌合させてボウフラの沈降通路を形成する構造の場合、隙間寸法が非常に狭く設定されるため、屋外に設置後ごく短期間にて異物によって隙間が埋まり、捕獲機能が損なわれる可能性がある。
(ニ)異物による支障を避け捕獲機能を正常に維持するためには、随時の分解洗浄が必要とされるが、(特許文献2)の構造の場合、分解すると部品が個々に分離するため、再度組み立てた時に部品の組み忘れや紛失、あるいは変形、損傷の恐れがある。
(ホ)ボウフラは呼吸するために水底から水面までほぼ垂直に浮上する行動習性があるため、(特許文献2)のごとく通路口が中空管の底面部、いわゆる真下方向に開口された構造の場合、逆行浮上して脱出する確率が高く、捕獲効果の低下を招きやすい。
と沈降を繰り返す垂直方向の往復路からは外れた位置関係、即ち、中空管(3)の周壁面に開口されているため、容易に産卵槽(9)側に逆浮上することなく成長を続け、やがて成育槽(10)内の水面上において羽化した成虫(16)となる。
界への脱出可能な通路口はなく、また成虫の餌も存在しないため、数日後に死滅した成虫(17)として蓄積される。
(イ)蚊の生息域において、雨水などの自然水が適度に供給される場所を選んで捕獲容器を設置しておくだけで、その後人間の手による定期的な水の廃棄や補充の手間を必要とせずに、ボウフラを捕獲し駆除することができる。
(ロ)電源の確保や維持の必要がないため、設置しようとする地域や場所の制約がなく、安価にて継続的な広域駆除を行うことが可能である。
(ハ)捕獲容器は屋外に設置する関係上、各種異物の沈殿あるいは水生生物の繁殖による通路口の閉塞という問題を生じやすく、捕獲機能に支障をもたらす可能性が大きい。
(ニ)異物による機能上の支障を避けるためには、随時の分解洗浄が必要とされるが、主要部品であるリング状フロート弁が分離することなく中空管に遊嵌された構造となっているため、分解洗浄した後に再度組み立てる場合においても、部品の組み忘れや紛失、あるいは、変形、損傷など不測の事態を低減させることができる。
(ホ)ボウフラは呼吸のために水底から水面までほぼ垂直に浮上する行動習性があるため、通路口が真下に開口した構造の場合には、一旦は成育槽側に移動したとしても再び産卵槽側に逆行浮上して成虫に至り、外界に脱出してしまう可能性がある。
(ヘ)自然蒸発によって水量が減少した場合には、水位の低下に伴って降下したリング状フロート弁が自動的に通路口を閉鎖するため、容器内部において羽化した成虫は外界に脱出することはできず、その後、降雨によって雨水が供給され再び水位が上昇すれば、リング状フロート弁は浮力によって浮上し、ボウフラの沈降通路口が自動的に開口されるので、後続の産卵に備える事ができる。
(ト)自然蒸発により水位が低下した場合には、リング状フロート弁によって蚊の脱出通路口が閉鎖されるのと同時に、貯水容器内部のたまり水と外気との接触も断たれ、唯一の通気路は排水溝のみとなるため蒸発速度は極端に遅くなる。
(チ)成虫の捕獲装置において使用される誘引効果を発揮するガス類や光源,熱源、あるいはボウフラに対して成長抑制効果や殺虫効果をもつとされる銅などの金属類や薬剤を用いる事なく、雨水などの自然水のみを利用した駆除手段であるため、天然あるいは人工的な資源の浪費や環境への悪影響を避けることができ、さらに将来的に薬剤に対する耐性種を出現させる恐れもない。
(リ)近年、地球温暖化の影響によってマラリア・デング熱・西ナイル熱などの熱帯感染症を媒介する蚊の生息域の北上と拡大が、国内外を問わず危惧され始めているが、自然環境に悪影響を与えることなく個体数の削減を図ることによって、感染症の拡大抑止と罹患予防、さらにこれらが蔓延した場合における蚊の防除作業や医療処置など、様々な損失や弊害を未然に低減させる事ができる。
Claims (3)
- 自然水を貯留可能な貯留容器と、
該貯留容器内に嵌入される上部が開放された凹誘導筒と、
該凹誘導筒の下部に形成された通路口と、
前記貯留容器及び前記凹誘導筒の水位が少なくとも前記通路口の上端部以下の場合に前記通路口を閉鎖する通路口閉鎖部と、
前記貯留容器と前記凹誘導筒との間の上部に形成された密閉空間と、
を備え、前記凹誘導筒内において産卵され、孵化したボウフラが前記通路口を通って前記貯留容器と前記凹誘導筒の間に移動し、羽化した成虫となった後、該成虫が前記密閉空間において死滅し、蓄積されるように構成されていることを特徴とするボウフラ捕獲容器。 - 前記通路口は、前記凹誘導筒の下部に突設された中空管の内面壁に形成された傾斜誘導板の傾斜下端面に対向する周壁面に形成され、前記通路口閉鎖部は、前記中空管の外径部において前記貯留容器内の水位に応じて上下にスライド可能且つ脱落不能に設けられたリング状フロート弁である請求項1に記載のボウフラ捕獲容器。
- 前記凹誘導筒は、前記貯留容器内の水位に応じて上下にスライド可能且つ脱落不能に設けられた凹浮体誘導筒であり、前記通路口は、前記浮体凹誘導筒の下部に突設された中空管の内面壁に形成された傾斜誘導板の傾斜下端面に対向する周壁面に形成され、前記通路口閉鎖部は、前記中空管が嵌入可能なように前記貯留容器の底面部に立設された通路閉鎖筒である請求項1に記載のボウフラ捕獲容器。
