Abstract
Description
Claims (9)
- セラミック原料、バインダ及び水を含有する原料組成物をハニカム形状に成形した、複数の未乾燥のハニカム成形体(未乾燥ハニカム成形体)を受け台に載置した状態で、高周波加熱手段を備えた加熱雰囲気の乾燥装置内をその入口から出口まで通過させ、前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体を高周波加熱により乾燥させて乾燥ハニカム成形体とし、前記乾燥装置の出口を通過した前記乾燥ハニカム成形体を前記受け台から取り除くとともに、前記受け台を前記乾燥装置の出口から入口まで循環的に搬送し、かつ前記乾燥装置の入口まで循環して戻った前記受け台の上に、新たに成形された前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体を載置する操作を繰り返すハニカム成形体の乾燥方法であって、
前記乾燥装置内で加熱された前記受け台を、前記乾燥装置の入口まで循環して戻るまでに、前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体のゲル化温度未満に冷却して、冷却された前記受け台に新たに成形された前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体を載置して、前記乾燥装置内を通過させ、
前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体を前記受け台に載置する際、前記受け台と接触する部分及びその周辺部分(接触部分)が、前記受け台から部分的に加熱されることによって部分的に変形することを防止するハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。 - 前記受け台に載置した前記乾燥ハニカム成形体を前記受け台から取り除いた後、前記受け台を前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体のゲル化温度未満に冷却するときに、30℃以下の冷風を前記受け台に当てて冷却する、請求項1に記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
- 前記受け台に載置した前記乾燥ハニカム成形体を受け台から取り除いた後、前記受け台を前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体のゲル化温度未満に冷却するときに、30℃以下の水を前記受け台に噴霧し、その後、冷風を前記受け台に当てて冷却する、請求項1に記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
- 前記未乾燥ハニカム成形体を前記乾燥装置内で、高周波加熱により乾燥させて未乾燥ハニカム成形体を乾燥ハニカム成形体とした後に、前記乾燥装置内又は乾燥装置外の熱風乾燥室で、前記乾燥ハニカム成形体に熱風を当ててさらに乾燥し、前記乾燥ハニカム成形体を前記熱風乾燥室から搬出し、その後に前記受け台に載置した乾燥ハニカム成形体を受け台から取り除く請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
- 前記受け台が、前記ハニカム成形体を載置したときに前記ハニカム成形体に当接する面(受け面)にほぼ垂直な方向に複数の貫通孔を有し、前記受け面において前記貫通孔の開口率が50%以上になるように形成されている請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
- 前記受け台の材質が、コーディエライト成分の中の少なくとも一種である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
- 前記受け台の材質が、アルミナである請求項6に記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
- 前記受け台の材質が、軟化温度が130℃を超える有機物である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
- 前記高周波加熱に使用する電磁波の周波数が10〜10000MHzである請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のハニカム成形体の乾燥方法。
