Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は容器の密閉に関する。より詳しくは、
本発明は、蓋が容器上の取付位置にあるとき、適
確な密封が形成され、かつ容器が変形されないよ
うに、蓋を容器に対して適確に整合させる手段に
関する。
容器と、該容器を気密に密封する蓋とがしばし
ば使用されている。ポリプロピレン、ポリチレ
ン、あるいは局所的に変形可能な弾力性のある他
の合成物質で作られた容器と蓋が、このような容
器への用途に優れていることが立証されている。
典型的には、このような容器の蓋は、その蓋を
容器の上に置き、しつかりと押しつけ、そして蓋
の縁部を容器のリム上に密封位置まで押し込むこ
とで取付けられる。
最初に蓋を所定位置に押しこむとき、蓋は一方
向か或は反対方向に僅かにずれることがありう
る。このことは容器のリムの形状であるときに
は、容器に対する蓋の位置は重要でないから問題
とはならない。しかしながら正方形、或は長方形
のような他の形状の容器のリムでは、容器に対す
る蓋の不整合が問題となる。例えば正しい位置に
整合されていない蓋は、その蓋を容器に取付けた
ときに容器を歪ませてしまうか、或は蓋を完全に
嵌めることを不可能にすることがある。また整合
されていない蓋は蓋と容器との間の気密な密封部
に影響を及ぼす。
本発明は蓋を所定位置に押し込むとき蓋を適確
に整合させるような蓋と容器との間の整合手段を
提供する。より詳しくは、タブと整合溝とが蓋の
適確な整合を保証させるように蓋と容器とに設け
られる。
かくして、本発明の目的は気密的に密封可能な
容器と蓋とを改良することにある。
本発明の他の目的は、蓋を密封位置まで押しこ
むとき容器に対する蓋の適確な整合を保証する構
造を提供することにある。
本発明の更に他の目的は、蓋を密封位置まで押
しこむに先立ち、容器に対して蓋を適確に位置決
めさせるためのタブと溝との配列を提供すること
にある。
本発明のこれらの、及び他の目的と利点とは、
添付図面を参照して本発明の好ましい実施態様に
関する詳細な説明から一層明らかにされよう。
添付図面、特に第１図、第２図、第９図、及び
第１０図を参照すると、容器１０と蓋５０とが示
されている。容器１０は全体を符号１２で指示し
た壁構造体を有する。壁構造体１２は互いに対向
する側壁１４と湾曲壁１６とを有する。底壁１８
が壁構造体１２の下端部に配置されている。
密封リム２０は容器の開放端部２２に配置され
ている。第５図乃至第７図に最も良く示されるよ
うに、密封リム２０は側壁１４と湾曲壁１６とに
対して僅かに外方に開いている。外方に延びるフ
ランジ２４が壁構造体１２に配置されている。フ
ランジ２４は上面２６、下面２８、及び少なくと
も１つの整合溝３０をもつ。第２図及び第１０図
に示す実施態様では整合溝は各湾曲壁１６のすぐ
近くに位置している。密封リム２０とフランジ２
４とは壁構造体１２よりも厚く構成され、容器の
開放端部２２に一層大きな剛性を与えていること
が認識されよう。
蓋５０は実質的に平らな中央部分５２と、中央
部分５２の外周部の周りに延びる密封部材５４
と、を有する。密封部材５４は第１の部分、即ち
内方部分５６と、第２の部分、即ち外方部分５８
と、これらを一端で連結させてほぼＵ字形の溝を
形成させる第３の部分、即ち上方部分６０とを有
する。上面６４と下面６６とをもつリツプ６２が
外方部分５８の自由端部に配置されている。リツ
プ６２は下方に延びる整合タブ６８を有し、この
整合タブ６８は整合溝３０とかみ合うようになつ
ている。第７図に最も良く示されるように、外面
６６は蓋５０が取付位置にあるとき、フランジの
上面２６にきちんと接触している。第１図、第６
図、及び第９図に最も良く示されるように、整合
タブ６８はフランジ溝３０内にきちんと嵌合され
る。
蓋５０は次の方法で容器１０に取付けられる。
まず整合タブ６８を溝３０内に位置決めする。こ
のことに関して、蓋５０、特に密封部材５４と整
合タブ６８は溝３０への位置決めを容易にするよ
うに撓わませるのが良いことが認識されるべきで
ある。このことは第８図に示されている。かくし
て蓋を最初に適確に整合させた状態で、密封部材
をリム２０上の所定位置に押し込む。
好ましい実施態様では整合溝は各湾曲壁１６の
すぐ近くのフランジ２４に設けられている。これ
は、蓋５０が嵌められるとき整合タブ６８が整合
溝３０に順次に位置決めされるので、蓋５０の適
正な整合を更に容易にする。複数の整合タブ６８
と整合溝３０は、取付けをどの湾曲壁１６からで
も開始できるので、蓋の取付けを容易にする。ま
た、これは又単一のタブを単一の溝と整合させな
ければならない場合に行なわれるような容器に対
する蓋の再位置決めを最小にする。タブ６８と整
合溝３０は容器の密封リム２０に対して蓋の密封
部材５４を整合させるように協働する整合手段を
提供し、これによつて第１図及び第９図に示すよ
うに蓋を容器に適確に嵌めることができることが
理解されよう。またタブ又はその均等物をフラン
ジに設け、整合溝又はその均等物を密封部材に設
けるように、タブと整合溝の配置を逆にすること
ももちろん可能である。かくして容器を歪ませ、
蓋と容器との間の気密な密封部に影響を与えるよ
うな蓋の不整合が防止される。第１１図及び第１
２図は蓋が整合されない先行技術の容器を示す。
本発明の好ましい実施態様を開示したが、本発
明の限度範囲、及び本発明の特許請求の範囲に入
る修正及び変更を当業者がなしうることは理解さ
れよう。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 容器と蓋との組合せにして、 前記容器は壁構造体と該壁構造体の一端部に位
    置する底壁を有しており、 前記壁構造体は少なくとも２つの湾曲壁で連結
    される少なくとも２つの側壁をもち、 更に前記壁構造体は前記底壁と反対側の容器の
    端部に配置された密封リムをもち、 前記蓋は中央部分と、該中央部分の周りに配置
    され、かつ前記密封リムとかみ合うように構成さ
    れた密封部材とをもち、 前記蓋と壁構造体には、前記蓋が前記容器に適
    確に嵌合されるよう前記密封部材を前記密封リム
    に対して整合させるよう協働する整合手段が設け
    られていることを特徴とする容器と蓋との組合
    せ。 ２ 前記壁構造体は少なくとも１つの外方に延び
    るフランジを有し、前記整合手段は前記外方に延
    びるフランジと前記密封部材とに配置されている
    ことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の
    容器と蓋との組合せ。 ３ 前記整合手段は少なくとも１つの溝と、少な
    くとも１つのタブと、を有し、 前記溝と前記タブのいずれか一方が前記密封部
    材に配置され、他方が前記フランジに配置されて
    いることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第２項に記
    載の容器と蓋との組合せ。 ４ 前記少なくとも１つの溝は前記フランジに配
    置され、前記少なくとも１つのタブは前記蓋の密
    封部材に配置されており、前記タブは前記密封部
    材を前記密封リムに対して位置決めするために前
    記溝に嵌合されるようになつていることを特徴と
    する特許請求の範囲第３項に記載の容器と蓋との
    組合せ。 ５ 前記溝は前記湾曲壁の１つのすぐ近くに配置
    されていることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第４
    項に記載の容器と蓋との組合せ。 ６ 前記整合手段は前記フランジに設けられた少
    なくとも一対の溝と、前記蓋の密封部材に設けら
    れた少なくとも一対のタブと、を有し、前記一対
    の溝は、互いに対向して配置されており、前記タ
    ブは、前記蓋が容器に適確に嵌合されるよう、密
    封リムに対して密封部材を位置決めさせるために
    前記溝に嵌合されるようになつていることを特徴
    とする特許請求の範囲第２項に記載の容器と蓋と
    の組合せ。 ７ 前記対をなす溝の一方は前記湾曲壁の一方の
    すぐ近くに配置され、前記対をなす溝の他方は前
    記湾曲壁の他方のすぐ近くに配置されていること
    を特徴とする特許請求の範囲第６項に記載の容器
    と蓋との組合せ。 ８ 前記整合手段は前記フランジに設けられた複
    数の溝と、前記蓋の密封部材に設けられた複数の
    タブと、を有し、 前記各溝は各前記湾曲壁のすぐ近くに配置され
    ており、 前記タブは、前記蓋が容器に適確に嵌合される
    よう、密封リムに対して密封部材を位置決めさせ
    るために前記溝の中に嵌合されるようになつてい
    ることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第２項に記載
    の容器と蓋との組合せ。
