Abstract

1,025,204. Disposable containers. MONO CONTAINERS Ltd. Jan. 3, 1963 [Feb. 20, 1962], No. 6557/62. Heading B8D. A plastics container has a sloping side wall 1, a groove 12 for holding a cardboard lid 13, and a shoulder 17 on which the lid can be rested prior to being pressed into the groove. The lid is directed on to the shoulder by a lead-in portion 14, which slopes less steeply than the side wall, and is strengthened by a flange 15. The container is square in shape with rounded corners and near its base has a horizontal shelf 21 for supporting a nested container, formed by tapering inwards the side wall at 23. At the corners the shoulder 17 is interrupted and the shelf 21 is made wider by having the bottom portion 19 of the side wall vertical.
