Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
この発明は、例えば電線、ケーブル、パイプ、鋼管の接
続部などを被覆する熱収縮性合成樹脂シートの融着方法
に関するものである。

電線、ケーブルの接続部に合成樹脂テープを巻き付ける
方法や、熱収縮性合成樹脂スリーブを被せた後加熱収縮
させる方法は従来から採用されているが、前者の錫合挟
し、スペースの個所での作業性が悪く、また後者の場合
には外径の異なるケーブルに適合する多種類のスリーブ
を用意しておく必要があり、さらに既設の接続部の被覆
を補修するのが困難である。
方法や、熱収縮性合成樹脂スリーブを被せた後加熱収縮
させる方法は従来から採用されているが、前者の錫合挟
し、スペースの個所での作業性が悪く、また後者の場合
には外径の異なるケーブルに適合する多種類のスリーブ
を用意しておく必要があり、さらに既設の接続部の被覆
を補修するのが困難である。
このため、接続部を合成樹脂シートで被覆し、その両端
部を熱融着した後必要に応じ加熱収縮させる方法が考え
られている。

しかし、単に熱融着を行なうのみでは、シール部分の信
頼性に之しくまた熱収縮性合成樹脂シートを用いた場合
、熱融着時にシール部分周辺が収縮変形してしまい、シ
ートとケーブル接続部の密着性に思い影響を及ぼす。‐
この発明は、上記の欠点を解消するために提案されたも
のであって、シール部の信頼性に優れ、また熱融着時に
シール部周辺の熱による影響をできるだけ少なくした熱
収縮性合成樹脂シートの融着方法を提供するものである
。

ートとケーブル接続部の密着性に思い影響を及ぼす。‐
この発明は、上記の欠点を解消するために提案されたも
のであって、シール部の信頼性に優れ、また熱融着時に
シール部周辺の熱による影響をできるだけ少なくした熱
収縮性合成樹脂シートの融着方法を提供するものである
。
以下、この発明の実施例を添付図面にもとづいて説明す
る。

第1図は、一軸延伸フィルム又はシート1の両端部を重

このシート1は、架橋ポリエチレン、又はエチレンビニ
ルアセテート共重合体、エチレンエチルアクリレート共
重合体、エチレングリシジルアクリレートェチルアクリ
レート共重合体等の架橋エチレン共重合体より成る。

図示のように、まずシートーの接合面を好ましくは脱脂
した後、過酸化ジクミル、1・3ービス〔t−ブチルパ
ーオキシーイソプロピル〕ベンゼン、1・1−ジーtー
ブチルパーオキシー3・3・5−トリメチルシクロヘキ
サン、t−ブチルクミル/ぐーオキサイド、2・5−ジ
メチルー2・5ジー(t−ブチルパーオキシ)へキサン
、2・5ージメチル−2・5・ジー(tーブチルパーオ
キシ)へキシン−3等の過酸化物を1種以上、0.5〜
5重量%、好ましくは2〜3重量%含む未架橋ポリエチ
レン又は未架橋エチレン共重合体より成るテープ2を挟
み込む。

5重量%、好ましくは2〜3重量%含む未架橋ポリエチ
レン又は未架橋エチレン共重合体より成るテープ2を挟
み込む。
なお、このテープ2に上言己の過酸化物のほか多官能性
モノマ−としてジアリルフタレート、トリメチロールプ
ロパントリメタクリレート、エチレングリコールジアク
リレート、エチレングリコールジメタクルレート、アリ
ルアクリレートなどを1種以上混入しておく。混入割合
は0.5〜5重量%、好ましくは2〜3重量%である。
次に、シートーの接合部及びその周辺に耐熱性粘着テー
プ3を固着する。
モノマ−としてジアリルフタレート、トリメチロールプ
ロパントリメタクリレート、エチレングリコールジアク
リレート、エチレングリコールジメタクルレート、アリ
ルアクリレートなどを1種以上混入しておく。混入割合
は0.5〜5重量%、好ましくは2〜3重量%である。
次に、シートーの接合部及びその周辺に耐熱性粘着テー
プ3を固着する。
これにより、シート1の端部が互いに固定されるので、
テープ2の位置決めができる。この耐熱性テープ3とし
ては、ガラス粘着テープ、アルミニウム粘着テープ、テ
フロン粘着テープ、ェポキシ含浸粘着テープ等が好まし
い。

以上の状態で、耐熱性粘着テープ3,3の表面から加圧
・加熱し、シート1の両端部を接合する。このとき、耐
熱性粘着テープ3がシート1の接合部周辺にも粘着され
ているので、接合部周辺への熱の影響が少なく、周辺の
温度をシートーの収縮温度以下に保つことができ、その
熱収縮を防止することができる。また、融着装暦の加熱
加圧部に雛型剤を塗布したり、或は特殊な材料を用いて
シート1が加熱加圧部に融着するのを防止する必要がな
くなる。なお、熱融着の条件は、温度150〜2500
0好ましくは約210oo、圧力0.5〜5.0kg′

くは約4分である。

は、電線或はケーブルA,A′の接続部をシート1で被
覆し、その両端部を前記の方法で接合してチューブ状と
し、これを加熱収縮させてケーブルの接続部に密着させ
た状態を示す。

合せ接合方法によって接着したものであり、第5図のそ

収縮させるときにシール部分がはずれる危険を防止する
ため、ゲル分率が20〜65重量%のものを用いるのが
好ましい。

て熱収縮させることもできる。上記のようにしてチュー
ブを熱収縮させるとき耐熱性粘着テープ3をそのままに
しておいてもよいが、剥離しておくのが好ましい。

て熱収縮させることもできる。上記のようにしてチュー
ブを熱収縮させるとき耐熱性粘着テープ3をそのままに
しておいてもよいが、剥離しておくのが好ましい。
このようなテープは、一般に腰が強く、柔軟性に欠ける
ため、チューブが収縮する際、ケーブル接続部に密着し
にくく、またテープが熱によって変色し外観を損うから
である。以下に実施例を挙げる。

実施例 1
中60仇岬、厚さ1伽の一軸延伸架橋ポIJエチレンシ
ートを必要な長さに切断して円筒状にした後、シートの
両端部を第2図のように突き合せてその対向面間に、過
酸化ジクミル4重量%、ジアクリルアフタレート3重量
%を含む未架橋ポリエチレンテープを挟み込み、温度約
200oo、圧力約3k9/地、時度約4分の条件で熱
融着した。

ル共重合体シートを2枚用意し、過酸化ジクミル2重量
%、トリメチルプロパントリメタクリレート2重量%を
含む同材質の未架橋テープを実施例1と同様に挟み込み
、同様の条件で熱融着した。

以上の実施例及び比較例によって得られた融着シートに
ついて、それぞれ剥離テストを行なった。

Claims (1)
- 1 架橋ポリエチレン又は架橋エチレン共重合体より成
る一軸延伸シートの対向面間に、過酸化物及び多官能性
モノマーを含む未架橋ポリエチレン又は未架橋エチレン
共重合体テープを挾み込み、前記シートの対向面の外側
面及びその周辺に耐熱性粘着テープを固着した後、加圧
・加熱することを特徴とする熱収縮性合成樹脂シートの
融着方法。
