Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep the inside of a case airtight completely, and to continue excellent operation for a long time by a method wherein a semiconductor laser, the front thereof has a rod-case, is housed in the case, which has a light transmitting plate at the lens side, and a holding block with a lens and a fiber is fast stuck at the light transmitting plate side of the case. CONSTITUTION:A base 4 is fixed on an inner surface of a bottom plate 1 with pins 2, 3 projecting to the outside, the semiconductor laser 6 bonded onto a heat sink 5 is mounted to the base, and connected to a pin continueing to the pin 2 by using a wire 8 and a rod-lens 7 is disposed on the front of the laser 6. A surface opposing to the lens 7 is covered with the case 9 to which the light transmitting plate 12 is set up, the base section is fastened to the bottom plate 1, the lens 15 is mounted into a cavity 14A formed opposing to the light transmitting plate 12 at the light transmitting plate 12 side, and the holding block 14 with the fiber 11 drown out to the outside is fitted to the rear by using resin 16. An outer surface of the block 14 into which the fiber 11 penetrates is also coated with resin 17, and the resin is cured.
