Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the photofeedback effect for the subject semiconductor element by a method wherein the transparent plate, which was adhered to the terminal of incidence of an optical fiber, is adhered to the terminal face on the emitting side too. CONSTITUTION:A retaining fitting 2 is fixed to the package 1 whereon a laser diode is hermetically sealed. A lens 3, an incident terminal preventing glass plate 4 and an optical fiber 5 are adhered to the fitting 2. After the above adhesion has been finished, the adjustment of an optical axis is performed by making a fine adjustment and fixing on the position and the inclination of the diode. A glass plate 6 is adhered to the output terminal of the fiber 5 together with a retaining apparatus 6. Accordingly, the reflected light from the incident terminal of the fiber 5 is reduced, and the photofeedback effect can be prevented.
