Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent scratches on a condensing lens or the like and to achieve compactness and high reliability by a method wherein a transmitting light module is provided with a transparent mold substance and an impermeable mold substance and a positioning member for an annular light connector plug is arranged at the transparent mold substance. CONSTITUTION:A transparent mold substance 57 is formed as the first stage mold so that the lead frame group 54 of a transmitting light module 51, luminous element 60, and IC element 55 and bonding wires 56 may be coated. The second stage mold is applied so that the light input and output surfaces of the luminous element may be exposed and a light impermeable mold substance 52 is formed. A condensing lens is arranged at the part corresponding to the luminous element of the transparent mold substance 57 and an annular positioning member for plug is provided at the part closely contacting the transparent mold substance 57 at the inner wall of a coupling section 59 so that the optical end surface of the central axis section 64 in the plug 63 of a light connector section amy not contact the condensing lens. Consequently, high reliability and compactness can be achieved.
