Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain superior quality of treated water by adding a metallic ion dissociating material which dissociates to metallic ions in an aqueous soln. and an alkali agent into a mixed slurry of the treated water from a biological nitrification and denitrification process and excess sludge, thereby allowing reaction.
CONSTITUTION: A mixed slurry 7 of treated water 6a obtained by treating org. waste liquid 1 in a biological nitrification and denitrification process 2 and excess sludge 5 is fed via a storage tank 8 to a chenical mixing tank 9. In the tank 9, a metallic ion dissociating material 10 dissociating in an aqueous soln. and an alkali agent 11 are added to and mixed with the mixed slurry in the tank 9 to cause reaction, after which the sludge is dehydrated by a mechanical dehydrating machine 12, whereby dehydrated cake 13 is obtained. Either of sulfate of Fe or sulfate of Al is used as the metallic ion dissociating materal and either of magnesium hydroxide or magnesium oxide as the alkali agent. Dehydration separating water 14 is released through a sand filter 15.
